Ed and Irene's Cold Moon Farm didn't disappoint. We went over the July 4th weekend and our two girls (4 and 7) had a blast bottle feeding the baby goats, milking the goats, collecting duck and chicken eggs and learning about the animals. All the helpers at the farm made us feel so welcome and were so kind and patient... More

Honestly, not all B&B's are as accommodating, clean and relaxing as Ed and Irene's Cold Moon Farm. My friends and I drove up late on a Friday evening from NYC for a weekend of skiing and could not have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend. Prior to our arrival, Ed and Irene helped to arrange lift... More

Ed and Irene are fantastic hosts! They waited up for our late arrival from NYC and were up early to greet us with an amazingly fresh breakfast of organic eggs from their chickens and ducks, bacon from the farm, homemade bread, delicious homemade banana and chocolate chip bread (our favorite of the weekend), oatmeal, challah french toast...the list goes on... I don't know who loved the trip more- us or our 2 year old son! Very warm and hospitable staff, great location, relaxing way to be a part of farm life. Can help milk their goats, collect the chicken and duck eggs, feed the sheep, etc. and then go in for a delicious homemade breakfast made with ingredients from the... More

Thanks Sarah for the great review. We are certainly looking forward to you all returning. We are expecting piglets to be born in May as well as goat kids in May and June. The farm will be a hive of activity (pun intended). Be safe and well...Irene & the team More

Cold Moon Farm was the perfect antidote to a long week of hard work in the city. After an easy drive up from Albany, NY, we were greeted by Ed and Irene as if we were already old friends. Throughout our stay, they graciously assisted with dinner reservations, navigating guest services at nearby Stratton ski resort, and even arranged to... More

If you're looking for a place to stay that is close to Stratton Mountain then look no further than Cold Moon Farm. We stayed there last weekend, it was just perfect. Ed and Irene are wonderful hosts, Ed was waiting for us when we arrived late on Friday night having made the long drive from New York City. As we... More

Went here with my boyfriend last weekend and stayed in the Vermonter room. It was perfect for two, very cozy and has a large bathroom. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like family and offered wine. Ed, Irine, Georgia, Dave and staff were all very warm and hospitable! The only thing I'd caution against is that the... We (family of 4 with 2 young kids) stayed at CMF for the second time and once again had a wonderful experience. The owners are wonderful people and it is very close to the Stratton ski mountain. There is also a small farm on premises. The owners gave our children a tour of the animals and it was very cute.... More

Our first trip to Cold Moon Farm was so good in the Spring of 2013, we decided to go back for the holidays. Ed and Irene were gracious hosts. The rooms were warm and cozy, breakfast was great. There was variety but at the same time it was comfort food. Sometime before our second visit, Irene decided to offer prepared... More
