Restored in the 80's this was the birth place of bill wilson, the bartop he was born behind is hung in the large meeting room in the back. The Inn is restored to its former glory if your into old wideplank pine floors and new england decor then you will be in heaven. Its well run by a staff of... More

A classic B&B set in a small village. An added feature is the history behind the house (make sure you ask!). The 'fireplace room' is unlike anything I have seen in my travels. Also the Griffith Library is a good place to visit across the church green.

I had a wonderful time spending Thanksgiving in the Wilson House! I was able to attend meeting's at the house. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning and Friday and Saturday evening they serve dinner. Prices for dinner range between $12.00 and $15.00. The house is run mostly by volunteer staff. Most of the staff was friendly and easy... More

A charming Inn with reasonable rates and beautifully furnished rooms in the old-fashioned style which befits the house. Possible to visit the neighboring house where Bill W. grew up. Close to the very beautiful (and green) little Emerald Lake in a state park of that name with excellent large, leafy camp sites. Just down the road is Manchester, Vermont. This... More

The comfort. The quaint ambience. The friendly people all combined to make this very enjoyable. Recommend highly! The Library next door blew me away. Got to attend meetings while here. Also quite surprised to find a boutique town 7 miles away. Fabulous shopping. Lots of interesting people from locals to French Canadians. Learned a lot about history of AA and... More

The concept is for real and great. But the quality of the stay is not so good. There is alot to consider here, but there is a shortcomming in there comunity idealism which apears to play into how this all works. Sorry, not staying here again.

If you're looking for peace & serenity, you can't miss at the Wilson House, the birthplace of Bill W. co-founder of A.A. Even is you're not a member of the fellowship, the folks at the Wilson House will treat you like family. If you are a member, there are frequent meetings/seminars for both AA and Al-Anon. The Wilson House has... More
