The hiking is superb, canoeing, mountain biking, kayaking, just enjoying the scenery. The food is delicious, plentiful, and innovative. The staff is first rate. This is a camp atmosphere and it is restful and fun. Lots to see and do in the area.

I started coming to Craftsbury almost 10 years ago; came again to scull with my husband this trip, and we plan another (full week) in September '15. It's camp. It's way up in the Northern Kingdom of Vermont, and it's beautiful. And off the grid. So don't try to do any business meetings during your camp stay. The food is... More

We attended here from the UK so we could attend a sculling course. The coaching staff were excellent and supportive. We learnt so much with a personal touch. The food is very good as other contributors have said. We stayed in one of the cabins, a little rustic but no problems. The location is amazing. Wifi available throughout.

The staff is amazing, the food is amazing, the campers that gravitate towards Craftsbury are amazing. My daughter has returned every year for the past 3 years and will continue attending. She took sculling lessons here and learned more in just one week than two full years in crew at home. Wonderful time had, will return.

I just returned from my fifth visit to Craftsbury for sculling...Consistently, the venue, meals, coaching, and comraderie with other scullers was exceptional...New rowers as well as experienced scullers are in capable hands at Craftsbury...The high level of communcation ability and patience among the coaches makes any sculler more comfortable and able to his/her learning goals...I strongly recommend Craftsbury is any... When I lived in Vermont, I used to Nordic ski here frequently. The ski center was in a little rundown hut, but the skiing was some of the best I have ever experienced. The scenery, the well-groomed snow, the woods, the rolling terrain--other ski centers featured some of these, but none had the feel of Craftsbury. For the first time... More

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center has beautiful trails, superb grooming and beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed in the Cedar Inn, which while warm and friendly, is actually a dormitory. The "small rooms" have 2 twin beds with closet cubbies. The bed fit me fine (height 5'5") but my 6' tall husband's feet hung off the end.... More

This has been a trip we will never forget. The miles and miles of stunning, and beautiful cross country skiing are amazing. The hundreds of serene trees covered in snow are a soft you will never forget. The skate skiing lesson by David was also great. The large room itself in the tamarack lodge was very comfortable. The food was... More

Five of us travelled at the beginning of June 2014 for a long weekend to the Craftsbury Sculling Center from Trenton, Ontario, Canada. Three beginner-rowers and two seasoned rowers. We experienced great coaching. Knowledgable and passionate about sculling and we had six coaches for 25 guests. Attending guests (rowers) came as far away from California and Dallas, Texas. The boats... More

Just returned from the 6 day sculling and yoga camp. Shared a room with a private bath in Tamarack lodge. I never went to summer camp as a kid, and this was my chance! As an avid novice sweep rower, I was hoping to learn to scull. Under the expert coaching of the staff, I quickly progressed from a training... More
