This was my second annual stay at Rose Arbour, and it felt like coming home. Suzanne has provided so many small amenities--tea and coffee fixings, immaculate, fluffy terry cloth robes--along with her warm welcome. The wrap-around porch and upstairs sitting room are so inviting that it's hard not to stay an extra day. Yes, the bath is shared, but it... More

Two years ago this tea room was so nice. It is no longer a tea room, as advertised! This year....We were seated by the faded jean clad hostess in a corner of what seemed to be a oversized hallway to the bathroom, this should have been my first clue. Our other choice of seating was the chilly porch. My view... More

We stopped here to sample the desserts we had heard about and were glad we did. The front porch was a great place to hang out, drink some freshly prepared tea and sample the outstanding chocolate date cake that had been made that morning. The host/owner,Suzanne, was pleasant and friendly and we liked her shop too where we bought some... More

Lovely old house with a caring and attentive innkeeper. Breakfast was awesome. Rooms are clean and attractive but not quite as pretty as some bed and breakfasts I have seen. Has a neat little shop downstairs and a tea room where you can enjoy high tea! Warn the owner the day before if you are looking to do high tea... More

We were the only guests at Rose Arbour on the day after Christmas. Our three-room suite was a delight, with antique decor, books, a cozy stove and a view of the town. The tea room and gift shop downstairs serve a variety of treats, but the most unique is the work of the artist/inn-keeper, Suzanne Nielson. Her paintings of horses... More

If you're looking for a place to stay in the Chester area you MUST consider the Rose Arbor Bed and Breakfast. The owner/manager Suzanne keeps the house in beautiful condition, the bed room was very cozy and we loved the communal sitting area. There are all kinds of fun knick-knacks too examine and plenty of books to choose from should... More

We stopped in at the Rose Arbour for a snack after a long day of cycling. It hit the spot! The decor is super cute and English-inspired. We had a pot of tea (which contained three cups), a hearty bowl of stew, and a nice scone. The pot of tea was covered in a flowery tea cozy. The hosts were... More

One of the pleasantest bed and breakfast inns I've ever stayed in, either here or abroad, Rose Arbour was a delightful place to relax and have an enjoyable weekend with my husband and my sister and her husband. The hostess, Suzanne, is friendly without being intrusive and her food is just plain delicious. There is a comfortable sitting room for... More
