I'm trying to offer an opinion from a practical as well as comparative perspective having stayed at a number of different types of accommodation on this trip. On the plus side the room was spacious and the bed was big and comfortable so a good nights sleep should be possible. There was a nice garden swing on our veranda and... More

Derek, thank you for posting a review. We regret that you were not thoroughly satisfied with the accommodations. We are pleased that you found the bed comfortable and the room spacious. I know Corinna is very particular about dusting and cleanliness in general. She described a thorough cleaning and dusting of the room: baseboards, mirrors, corners, edges, pictures, lamps, TV,... Second visit to this B&B. Went to Vermont and NY for a short three day trip with two kids. We had the family room. This is a great place. It is a modest size B&B located in the countryside. The owner is very friendly and the site is (from my point of view) extremely nice and relaxing. Breakfast was perfect,... More

Thank you Jean-Guy for your nice words! It's always wonderful to share Vermont with our neighbors north of the border (and to practice my French). A la prochaine! More

The location of the inn was beautiful. It's located down the road from Mt. Philo and across from a grape farm. The scenery is gorgeous. The innkeeper, Duger, is an interesting guy who enjoys talking to and taking care of his guests. One criticism I have of the inn was the water. It smelled like sulfur and made me feel... More

Thank you for your feedback. Allow me to get right to the issue of the water. Our water is now odor-less and very pure. The inn has just invested in a top of the line water purification system. While sulfur is harmless, the smell was clearly unacceptable to many guests. The Inn is subject to surprise health inspections, and we... More

The Inn at Charlotte was perfect for our 5-day visit to Vermont. It is located only minutes away from Mt. Philo, and its breathtaking views of Lake Champlain. It is an easy day trip to Stowe, which we visited when the fall foliage was at its peak. Duker, the innkeeper, is friendly, interesting and a treasure trove of information and... More

Our experience was terrific!!!! ;) The inn keeper and his wife were very polite and compassionate. We were traveling late at night and forgot it was leaf peeping season. Called and they were able to accomidate us. They were booked for a wedding and some of the party cancelled. So rather that charging that party for unused rooms we picked... More

The Inn at Charlotte is an easy fifteen miles south of Burlington, Vermont. It is a beautiful property located in the rural town of Charlotte, VT. The property itself is gorgeous. The grounds are well maintained, and the garden is beautiful. The rooms are part of a low farmhouse, all rooms located on ground level. The owner has set very... More

I have to say, the hospitality at this B&B was five star. At the communal breakfast, we sat around a large table with two families from Europe and Duker, the owner, and had the most wonderful conversation. It happened to be pouring outside, so we all lingered and chatted. A nice memory. Duker also provided us with discounted passes to... More

Had a relaxing stay here and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. The owners, Duker and Josefina, are welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts were very good and served family style around a large table, allowing guests to converse - we had some interesting discussions! The grounds are well-kept and flower-filled. There is a pool and tennis court available.... More

I need a 3.5 Rating, above Average but not quite Very Good. We love staying at B&Bs and try a couple of different ones each year. To break it down: Great: Location was excellent, 10 minutes from Shelburne Farms, so convenient when we were done with the Cheese Festival. A short walk from Mt Philo, which was a great hike,... My husband and I stayed at the Inn this summer and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owner of the place is a great guy. He is well traveled himself, a great host, and good company. The inn itself is surrounded by rolling green VT hills, a beautiful vineyard and right down the road from the best hike in the... More
