Bought a GroupOn for a two night stay at THE POINTE. When we drove into the parking lot - I knew something was amiss. The Photographs of the CASTLE/Pointe were very deceptive. In the GroupOn and The Castle Hill Resort/Spa website it looks as though you could just walk across (a short way) to "the Castle". Be prepared to walk... More

We had read many reviews before purchasing a Groupon for Castle Hill, so we knew what to expect. In a nutshell, this is great for exhausted parents, people who like the outdoors, and folks who are maybe just looking to experience this part of Vermont for a couple of days. We stayed in one of the condo suites. (There are... More

We purchased this through a Groupon while traveling. It is very deceptive in its marketing. It is not the picture of the stone building. The check in was cold. The dinners are outrageously priced. It seemed dated with no real attractions to even justify the prices in the hotel and the area. The exception is Singletons Trading Post. They were... More

Dear storygirl7, thank you for taking time to write a review. I apologize that we did not meet your expectations. Typically our staff is warm, friendly and ready to talk about the resort and Vermont in general. We are located in a beautiful area with many things to do and see. We have a list of hiking trails, a map... More

I had the pleasure of staying at the Castle a few week-ends ago. I want to thank Carmen, the concierge for her hospitality and all her help. My mom and i absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful historic mansion. Carmen was very helpful and gave us a lot of great suggestions of things to do in this area.. Ask... More

We stayed with our teenage daughter in a one bedroom suite that had a pull out couch. Place was beautiful, well maintained, very clean, and private. We did not dine at the Castle, as it was a little pricey for our hunger level. Close to Okemo and town. Would stay again.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. We were able to get a very good deal of $100 per night for a room in the hotel (not the Castle, unfortunately, which would have been out of our budget) with a few vouchers for discounts on dinner and spa services.... My wife and I just got back from an overnight stay at the Castle Hill Resort. We stayed in the Governor’s Suite and we thrilled. The hotel is old and full of charm and elegance. With period bathrooms and fixtures. Great to see that the hotel has maintained the guestrooms and added small modern day touches. Flat screen televions are... More

We arrived on a Monday afternoon as our final stop for our anniversary weekend away. We were greeted warmly at The Pointe front desk and given greetings wishing us well for our anniversary. They were kind enough to include coupons for both the restaurant and for spa treatments, both of which were used and appreciated. We headed up the hill... More

I will start my review by saying that my wife and I are part of SLH(Small Luxury Hotels of America) and we travel a lot. We found this beautiful Historic Hotel through the SLH organization and we absolutely LOVED it. The Castle is such an architectural gem!!! Beautifully preserved wood work and Tiffany Light fixtures, gorgeous landscaping and grounds greatly... More

My husband and I stayed at the Castle portion of this resort (we were given a gift certificate for a vacation there as a wedding gift). The "Castle" itself is lovely, the employees are all very helpful, and the grounds are nicely kept. Our stay was nice, however the general area was a bit lacking. The town is a shortish... More
