If you are expecting privacy, there is none. Your neighbors are literally a meter away. Snoring, children, hammering, bright lights and slamming car doors. People are decent in the evening sometimes, should you decide to hit the sack early but you definitely will not sleep in. There is simply no trees or bushes, in between campsites. The gated campground is... More

I've stayed at this campground 4 times now while visiting my child at UVM. It's right in Burlington, so it's convenient, but these days I only stay at North Beach when I absolutely have to (eg when the gorgeous nearby state park campground is either full or closed!). First let me start with the folks in the front office: they're... More

I am not used to be in a fish bowl or even a sardine can and that was what this felt like. There are separate areas for RV's, pop-ups, and tents but they are still very close together. We came with a pop-up and a tent. My tent was literally 7' away from a high RV. The staff was courteous... More

I wish I could give 0 stars-the 1 star is for beautiful lake Champlain. This campground is run by rude, incompetent people. Period. The camp sights are small. As someone alluded to in an earlier post, it seems to to attract unsavory clientele as evidenced by our loud neighbors. Management did stop by to ask them to quiet down as... More

Stayed here a week for our family vacation. Pros: close location near town and beach, clean (for campground) restrooms. Cons: tiny sites- hope you get good neighbor(s), seems to attract transient campers who enjoy using loud foul language 24/7. Several nights we had loud neighbors. Day staff told us to call security during night if we had a complaint. Sure... More

It's a bit confusing to be driving down a main street then turning on a street that takes you right between a local high school and soccer/track field and then down a small hill, in search of a campground. But, just keep going because you will certainly arrive at a spectacular place to spend a night, or two, or twenty!... More

We were pleasantly surprised with this campground. The campground itself was in a great location, right on Lake Champlain, right on the bike path, and very close to downtown Burlington. The beach was really nice and within walking distance to our camper. Everyone, we met were really friendly. A great family campground! Pros: great location, helpful staff, walking distance to... We arrived, with a skip in our step. When we walked into the office we were dragging our heels. When I told the clerk that we had a reservation, she gleefully retorted, oh, no you don't! I went back to our vehicle to get our confirmation number. When I returned with it, the clerk started griping at me. Poor attitude... More

The location is great but there are many drawbacks: 1. Bathrooms are disgusting. Rarely cleaned, NO soap for hand washing, and it costs 50 cents to shower in cold water. 2. Campsites are TINY and not all have a fire ring with a grill grate. 3. The beach is great but be prepared for a lot of homeless people hanging... More

North Beach is a beautiful, and ideally located campground. This year was our third vacation there, and the restrooms have degraded to a deplorable and unsanitary condition. The showers were finally cleaned on our fifth day there after I asked the attendant on how often they are cleaned. There is no hand soap, and that's disgusting. I am writing the... More
