We had a hard time finding a motel in Burlington, VT that was nice, but affordable. Thank heavens for the Bel Aire Motel. The rooms are attractive and comfortable, and it is convenient to the attractions in both Burlington and Shelburne. The manager is very, very friendly and helpful. We recommend this motel very highly. We would definitely stay here... More

Poor night's sleep. Office opens at 8am, which is obvious because it gets SO noisy right at 8. I could hear the manager talking to people outside all morning. But this also means that you are paying for there to be no staff there all night. It was unusually noisy too when people parked or even drove by on the... More

Exceptional hospitality, exceptionally clean(we are extremely picky)and great location. It was about a 30 min. walk to the Church St. Market. We love to walk every where so this was perfect for us. We look forward to our next stay here. We loved Burlington and this Motel. We gave it a 4 rating because there wasn't an iron and the... More

Stayed here with a friend on our way to Nova Scotia. Robin at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant and told us of things to do downtown. The rooms are small but very clean and accommodating and we enjoyed our stay that evening, before continuing our trip the next morning. I would definitely stay here again. It's a... More

There were positives and negatives about this place. The positives: location to Church St., hot water for the shower, price. Negatives: parking lot (back your car in), a creepy cat lurking around the property (I'm allergic), beds are super hard, and showers are not for tall people. I am 5'8" and my husband is 6'3" and the shower was hard... More

Myself and four brothers just returned from our second visit to Bell Zaire Motel. Once again we were treated with courtesy and flexibility as we are all riding motorcycles. The facilities are clean well cared for and in a great location. They were very kind to allow us to sit out front at night with lively conversation and snacks. We... More

We were in Burlington for a one night stay. We checked if they had a room available as we drove by, and they had. The place looks well-maintained. The room was clean and neat, so was the bathroom. The receptionist was very friendly. Would stay here again.

OUr experience has always been tremendously positive. Our most recent stay was May 17 2014. Our son was graduating from UVM and we needed to stay... More

I just stayed at the spacious, comfortable, clean and reasonably- priced Bel Aire Motel with my husband and son. We are African-American and couldn't have been more warmly received. My 18 yrs. in the travel industry has taught me that you cannot stay in a hotel using someone else's credit card. It is standard operating procedure...end of story! I look... More

The night manager would not accept my credit card for the rental of a room for my adult black son who was to start as a sous chef for one of the main restaurants in town the next day. She claimed that she could only take a credit card from the person staying. When I said in that case I... More

Robin L, Owner at Bel Aire Motel, responded to this review

Your review could not be further from the truth. We have never discriminated against anyone, and welcome everyone to our motel. A young man stopped in for a night's stay, and I offered him a room. He did not have a valid credit card and asked if someone else could pay for the room. I explained that each guest must... More
