The view from the back of the house and the gardens are lovely. The guest cottage is quaint and charming and clean. However, the room in the house is dark, cramped, dreary and configured oddly with a makeshift folding door for privacy. The neighborhood is less than desirable with the houses sitting tightly next door to each other.

Miss marble is the cat of the house, a lovely cat. The view is stunning. Really. Never seen anything like it in a B&B. The owner (Maggie) is sweet and helped us with some tips. Its an ecological friendly place, the food is ecofriendly. Its about 5 min drive from the waterfront. No TV on the room, which we never... More

excellent for a solo traveler who likes to be left alone and enjoy the view, the garden and the amazing city. Self-serve breakfast meant we could eat when we wanted, not over eat and the kitchenette meant we could even cook a little.Owner was available and friendly but it felt like we had our own mini house. My partner arrived... More

we stayed there 2 nights and it was very calm, charming, and typical. The place with a hartbreaking view on the lake, the accomodation and maggie are very genuine, and every these 3 parts fits in very well with one another. A very good spot if you wish to dive into Vermont and its people as we did. Besides the... More

We stayed in the cottage for one night, and loved the peace and quiet, and of course the gorgeous setting. It's an easy walk into town, but it's tempting to stay right there in the chairs out in the back garden overlooking the lake. It's remarkable how carefully and well the owners have utilized the space to fit in everything... More

We just spent 4 days at the One of a Kind B&B and loved every moment. There are two options for accommodations - upstairs in the house there is a suite (bedroom, sitting room, & bathroom or the small cottage out in the backyard. The backyard is beautiful! Not only does it back up to Lake Champlain but the gardens... More

Sweet charming cottage with absolutely everything I needed. Quality contemporary and antique furnishings, scrupulously clean, spectacular views, gorgeous garden, and walking distance to all the cool places in Burlington. Breakfast was mostly local organic, delicious, and plentiful. The owner was gracious and responded quickly to my emails. Highly recommend.

I had stayed at One of a Kind before, and the cottage and the garden are certainly strong selling points. This time, however, we stayed in the suite - and no regrets. Extremely comfortable and well-appointed rooms with a great view of the lake and the garden, and an extremely nice bed. The breakfast is tasty and taken on your... More

Maggie Sherman exquisitely placed and furnished a very comfortable and cozy cottage at the back of her lakeside property. Combined with it's vivid outdoor intensity, it provides a stunning overnight experience or retreat for 1/ couple.

From one B&B owner to another: I loved it here! Maggie is sweet, authentic and very conscious of the needs of her guests. If you have an issue; tell her and she will resolve it!!! We stayed in the cottage; Carpe Diem. I chose it for that is the license plate on my car! I couldn't resist and I was... More
