We stayed @ On the Hill B&B with Kay at our first stop. Kay was in the process of moving so she might not be here any longer but it's worth checking her out if you need to stay in the area. She basically rents our rooms in her house so it's not a 'traditional' B&B but she was a... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a night @ On The Hill. It is located in a quiet part of town, about a 5 minute car ride from Church st./downtown. The house is very tastefully decorated, our room (the Maple Room) was lovely, and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of room, and had a... More

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at On the Hill. Kay is a wonderful hostess and cooked us up two delicious breakfasts. She was very accommodating of my dietary needs, but since my boyfriend does not have the same needs, she made him something slightly different which I know he appreciated. We woke up early one morning for a hike,... More

We chose "On the Hill" bases on Tripadvisor reviews, and we were not disapointed. I can only endorse the recent reviews - Kay is a charming hostess and everything about the property was good. The breakfasts were delicious, and such a delight to have home cooking after a couple weeks of standard hotel fare. The price was reasonable - I... More

We picked this B&B because it was less expensive than other local b&bs (perhaps because the bathroom was not connected to our bedroom) and we thought the local motels were overpriced. We are glad we did. Kay is a charming and engaging hostess who makes you feel at home. Her breakfast was imaginative and delicious, featuring Vermont products. She joined... More

This is a lovely, homelike B&B owned by a kind woman who makes you feel very welcome. Every single thing was wonderful: the decor, the peace and quiet, the quality of the private shower, the breakfast - even the mattress. The place is not only clean, but truly an exceptionally well-kept home. I really can't say enough good things about... More

We stayed in two rooms with an joining bathroom at this B & B in June. Kay was very flexible about arrival times. The house is in a quiet area, well located but a bit hard to find. It is one story which may be helpful for some travelers. The rooms were comfortable and well decorated. Kay made a wonderful... More

We stayed at On the Hill for two nights in October 2010 and we recommend this beautiful bed and breakfast to everyone who likes an accommodation with a personal ambience. First of all, we were very pleased that Kay took her time to join us for breakfast both mornings. We really enjoyed her company, her open mind and her straight... More

I highly recommend this B&B based on two key ingredients: 1) the well-presented and comfortable home (which did feel like home away from home), and 2) the warm, friendly and sincere host, Kay (who goes above and beyond to ensure you feel like you are at home away from home). I had the opportunity to stay in two different rooms... More

After finding all of the big name hotels and better known bed & breakfasts/inns booked, I made a reservation for a Saturday night at On the Hill. Kay was a great host. Before we booked, she responded to inquiries by email very promptly. She also allowed us to check in at 11am, instead of the time on the website. The... More
