After reading reviews, we chose to stay 3 nights at the Howard Street Guest House during our first visit to the Burlington area. We had the downstairs "room", which is like a large efficiency apartment. We enjoyed the relaxed comfort of the apartment, and enjoyed a glass of wine in the garden during the afternoons. Probably a 15 minute walk... More

Yes, it looks like a garage from the outside and it has two levels. Downstairs, the inside is near perfect. The decor is pastel and carries through the large room to include walls, linens, tables and chairs, couches and even the dishware. It's a very pleasant and comfortable place. We especially enjoyed our first night. The only drawback is when... More

During summer weekends in Burlington, accomodation is extremely difficult to find without reservation. However, we managed to get a room in Howard Street Guest House due to the extreme helpfulnes and hospitality of the hostess. We enjoyed our stay tremendously, and will most definitely stay here again if we return to Burlington.

My husband and I spent UVM graduation weekend at this charming guest suite. It is the lower level of a 2-story converted workshop. Very colorful and comfortable surroundings greeted us. The owner, Andrea, was wonderful and provided coffee, juice, excellent granola and other cereals in the little kitchenette. I wish we had discovered this freshman year!

I recently returned from a 3 night stay in the upper unit. It was a last minute trip - I called that morning and the owner, Andrea, got back to me immediately - and was there to great me upon arrival. The unit is spacious with an urban "beachy" feel and immaculately clean!! The kitchenette was perfect for me and... More

My friend and I stayed in the downstairs apartment over Labor Day weekend and agreed that it would make a great place to live, not just stay for a couple of nights! As others have mentioned, the guesthouse is a very thoughtful conversion of a barn-style garage, though you wouldn't really notice that it was a garage from the inside.... More

Simply stated.....a most wonderful, delightful, immaculate, colorful place to stay......felt like the room was designed just for Connie and i. Walking distance to church street and all the shopping and dinning for your pleasure......Andrea, the innkeeper will and does make sure your visit to her guest house is a memorable one.....

We planned to stay 2 days and extended to four - it was that nice and peaceful. We had the downstairs apartment, what a great spot. Wide open floor plan, comfortable furniture, passable TV, but who wants a TV in Burlington? The decor is really fantastic - bright colors, nice and simple. The place was so clean it made me... More

The Howard Street Guest House is a SUPER place to stay when in Burlington. It is unique as far as B&B's go because it is not a house, but a converted two-story, detached garage. Each floor is a separate room that has been configured and furnished into a spacious, comfortable and well appointed place to stay. It is located in... More

I stayed here while attending a friend's wedding in town, Unfortunately, my wife couldn't join me because of a travel delay, but I enjoyed the room and the town enough that I'm determined to take her back there sometime soon. The room was really open and comfortable, complete with a mini kitchen and fresh coffee. It was also just a... More
