we arrived wtih no real expectations, either postive or negative. however, we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the resort was. the staff was helpful and friendly, the room (1 bedroom condo) was beautiful and immaculate. although it felt like the resort was located far off the beaten path, the drive was scenic and relaxing. we came during off season,... We made this exchange in order to take our grandchildren skiing. We are not a fussy family but we do expect cleanliness. This 2 bedroom unit was in fairly rough shape. The main entrance to the building looked like something out of student housing on a campus (beat up), the walls and floors were dirty. There is no elevator so... More

Okay, so we had to drive an hour to get great skiing, but we saved a ton of money in accommodations. We stayed in a 3 bedroom (Bdrm1: 1 King, Bdrm2: 1 Queen, Bdrm3: 2 Queen) 3 full bathrooms, full kitchen, separate dining room with table for 6, very nicely furnished and clean condo/apt. The beds were comfortable, I have... More

My husband, my children (8 & 5) and I went for 4 nights. I never checked any reviews, my first mistake. I went by where we own our time share in Florida as they own this resort too. I expected the same quality of the entire resort!!! The room was nicely re-done but you don't go away to stay in... More

We stayed at the resort from Oct. 2-8. As owners of multiple weeks at orange Lake we decided to try this resort for a "foliage" vacation since it was a new addition to the "OrangeLake - Holiday Inn" resorts. The upgrades as mentioned were nice but we had a 1 bdr suite that ovelooked the parking lot. As preferred owners... More

We stayed for one night while doing a "Fall Foliage" road trip. We booked in advance through hotels.com. When we arrived there was much confusion with our room - even though it was 4pm, they couldn't seem to find a room that had been cleaned/serviced - after much shuffling through of papers they said they had found one, but asked... We booked this hotel for a "near" last minute trip that we decided to take to Vermont. My wife wanted to see the leaves changing (we probably went a weekend too early for the full change though). This hotel had by far the cheapest rates in the area. We also read several reviews prior to booking so we were aware... More

Although the hotel was only 50% full on my arrival day (verified the following day with the front desk) my room was not ready. When I pointed out to the front desk clerk that if they did not pre-assign rooms, they could give out clean ones on a first-come, first-served basis, his response was "We don't do it that way."... Just had a great weekend here. Holiday Inn Club Vacations has turned this place around. The rooms are brand new, nice and clean, and are like a one bedroom apartment. The service is terrific. Yes, dinner only at the restaurant, at least in the snowless seasons. But there's a couple of great diners in town, and you have a full... More

Seriously, please ignore any old posts for this hotel before June or so of 2009. They either seem to posted before Holiday Inn took over a building at the Ascutney Mountain Resort and completly renovated it, or they are being posted for other rental companies at the same resport. Holiday Inn recently took over the main building at the resort,... More
