Absolutely not one negative thing to say about Forty Putney Road! Great location. Right in the middle of everything there is to do in Brattleboro. I planned my trip there over a month ahead of time, and needed everything to be great for a special occasion. The inkeeper kept in contact with me the whole month before my stay and... More

What a wonderful B&B! We were greeted very warmly and given a thorough review of all the features and amenities of the B&B. The innkeeper is so nice, and very attentive to all the details. The gardens in the back are beautiful, and there are trails to hike around, if so inclined. Our room was quite comfortable and nicely decorated.The... More

Stayed here for the second time. Owner is very nice and knows how to treat clients. Rooms are clean. Landscape is beautiful. Breakfast is really good. Compared to other small hotels we usually stay at near our kids camp, this is much better.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at the Inn. Rhonda was most hospitable and made a delicious breakfast. The grounds are very nice and the room comfortable, very clean and charming. The snacks and local soda were a nice touch. We will definitely return to the Inn when visiting Brattleboro again! Rich & Karen

Our first trip to Vermont and my wife enjoyed our two days at this nice Inn. The grounds were peaceful and very relaxing. The home and its unique decorating were a delight for my wife to just sit and enjoy. We were happy to have the reviews of others to help us select our stay. We posted a picture of... More

We stumbled upon Forty Putney Road on our way back from (tearily) dropping our daughter off at sleepaway camp in New Hampshire. I often think what it must be like to have a B&B, and, having seen all the thought that went into this one, it is hard not to be taken aback. Really, everything you could possibly want or... More

We had a fantastic visit! The B and B itself is so comfortable and welcoming and Rhoda, the host, is super friendly and helpful. The gardens and fantastic, the hot tub is private and relaxing and the connection and information about local culture, food and drink is phenomenal. We highly recommend it!!!

Truly a great experience. Rhonda, the innkeeper, made it clear our comfort was her first priority from the time we booked until we left, but did it in a way that wasn't at all intrusive. The inn is beautiful, immaculately maintained, and full of extras that make the whole experience wonderful. And the breakfast was amazing!! Comfy pillows and bed,... More

Rhonda made our stay great from the first moments, she had amazing local vermont beers and vermont nibbles. The room was lovely and she had thought of everything - hottub, dvds, popcorn... - breakfast was also amazing. If you want to be made to feel at home and have great local produce then you must stay here. I wish we... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights to attend a wedding in NH. I chose this B and B based on the location close to our destination and the previous reviews. The room was perfect with everything we needed and more. Very comfortable and quiet. We stayed in the "Hummingbird Room". The main house was large and beautiful.... More
