Just spent the weekend here and can't recommend it more highly. We go to Brattleboro often to hike & bike, so we often admired this property from the road and are glad we tried it. Tim and Amy are thoughtful hosts who care very much about their guests. Our room was lovely with every detail, the house is lovely and... more

We visited this wonderful lodging establishment after reading about Tim & Amy on various web sites. They have taken an amazing building (that did indeed used to belong to a local mental facility!) which has been run for many years as a B & B and moved it into the 21st century. As previous reviewers have mentioned Tim is a... more

The Forty Putney Rd B&B is DEFINATELY the place to stay in Brattleboro! The rooms are fantastic, the view from the backyard is incredible and Amy's breakfasts will make any gourmand happy. Tim is a beer connoisseur and can tell your the best local brews to try as well as the best hot spots. Ask him for the sampler tasting,... more

I have a wheat and dairy allergy and they made special breakfast for me every morning. Talk about service!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to come back again with my wife!!! The room was extremely warm... more

We arrived tired and gritty from a long day of exploring Vermont. Tim immediately made us comfortable. We were too tired to try the local restaurants so we sampled some of the draft ale at Tim's pub with some Vermont cheese and crackers we had purchased earlier on the trip. Relaxing on the patio that evening is one of my... more

My girlfriend and I just came back from a long weekend in Brattleboro, Vermont and we just had to write a review of Forty Putney Road. This place is incredible and there really is something for everyone. The innkeepers, Tim and Amy, are delightful and incredibly helpful and friendly. Tim patiently answered everyone's questions each morning regarding places to visit... more

The food was fabulous! The grounds and rooms beautiful. Easy walking distance to downtown and to the lake (just down the hill). The innkeepers, Tim and Amy, were just right, friendly and available, without being hovering. Comfortable room, good bathroom, great views. A wonderful value. Highly recommended! more

We had a great time for our 20th Anniversary at this lovely B&B. Located close to the downtown area, the innkeepers are very knowledgeable about the local restaurants and were able to recommend a great place to have dinner. I strongly recommend the beer tasting...both Tim and Amy are very "into" beer and different aspects of beermaking and they gave... more

Tim and Amy made me feel right at home, and Forty Putney itself is very cozy with a great atmosphere. Every amenity and more is provided for. I would recommend to anyone. more

We wanted a romantic Vermont bed & breakfast to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Forty Putney Road exceeded our expectations. Beautiful inn, romantic room, delicious breakfasts and an awesome pub. Plus it's just a short walk to downtown Brattleboro which has really interesting stores and restaurants. We loved everything about our stay here. more
