I called ahead to ensure they had a room. The Front Desk girl was very nice and helpful. I had to stay in the Latchis Hotel since my usual hotel family was fully booked! I had a room right above Main street so it was really noisy. They provided a fan to drown out the noise and to keep some... More

As a graduate student at Marlboro I needed a place to stay on long weekends each month and found the Latchis based upon recommendations. It's been my home away from home for one and a half years and I attribute my restful times there as fundamental to my academic success. It's quiet, charming, clean, unpretentious and hearkens to a previous... More

The Latchis is clean and convenient, and has the distinction of being right down-town Brattleboro and the novelty of being attached to a movie theatre. Its a bit pricey for what it is but if you want to be on Main Street and walk to the many restaurants, bars and stores this is your best bet - and its a... More

We stayed 4 nights at this downtown Brattleboro restored Art Deco boutique hotel while attending the Marlboro Music Festival. After our experience here, it's hard to imagine staying anywhere else. We traveled by train, and the hotel is at most a 5 minute walk from the Amtrak station in the heart of downtown. Hotel staff were unfailingly cheerful and helpful.... More

Tired of the cookie cutter joints (and out of points) we took this website's advice and booked a room. It was delightful. Comfortable, roomy and right downtown. There is a nearby RR track, but they have thoughtfully put fans in the rooms, not only to circulate air but drown out the train as well. Sorry we had only one night.... More

The Latchis Hotel is a beautifully restored Art Deco hotel in the heart of downtown Brattleboro. The room decor is simple and elegant. We loved the original fixtures in the bathrooms and the huge windows with a view of the Connecticut River. The staff was extremely friendly and parking was very convenient. We peaked at the restored movie theater next... More

We stayed two nights in Brattleboro after spending two nights in Manchester so that my husband and son could be closer to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for a Nascar race. Brattleboro has a very different feel to it than Manchester and at first we felt unsure about our decision, but the hotel and its location grew on us. We... More

We spent a night at the Latchis Hotel and had a great stay. Our room (#307) was "The Silver Screen" room and was recently redone in all silver and black, with movie star photos and gorgeous purple lounge chairs. The room was very spacious and featured fabulous Art Deco details such as steel casement windows and Terrazzo detailing. The view... More

I've stayed in boutique/retro hotels before so I feel I have a handle on just how "quirky" they can be and this hotel was no exception. We were in 3 rooms during our stay and the difference between them was huge. When booking I would definitely ask for a newly renovated room with AC (summer), our first room was not... More

Staying at the Latchis Hotel was fun, though pricey. Located in the middle of the downtown area made walking to restaurants easy. The movie theater right in the hotel was good fun. We didn't much care for the continental breakfast (usual carb heavy fare with hard-boiled eggs). There was fresh fruit one day but only packaged fruit the next. We... More
