We have gone here twice and have booked it for another weekend as well. Last time we made it a "working weekend" and we plugged our laptops into the outdoor outlets and worked all day on the back deck while watching the birds and the river. The beds are so comfortable (we have stayed in two of the rooms so... More

We have been to a lot of B&Bs in this price range and this one is MUCH nicer! Joan does not skimp on anything. Contrary to what one reviewer said, the beds are VERY comfortable and reminded me of the beds from the Westin and Hilton hotels. I have a lot of trouble sleeping and was a little worried about... We booked a night at the Green River Bridge House through hotels.com as part of a 16 day, 2000 mile honeymoon road trip around New England. This property was going to be the highlight. Despite having received an email from hotels.com a few days earlier 'confirming' the booking, we arrived to find the property deserted. Driving 10 miles to get... More

I did not get any email or any notification regarding this reservation! I certainly would have been here. I have had so many satisfied clients over the years that return year after year. This is an unfortunate situation and I do apologize to the couple. I did try to call but must have taken the phone number (international) down incorrectly.... More

Most relaxing time ever . . . the sound from the river puts you to sleep, the aroma of the wonderful breakfast awakens and satisfies all particular tastes...and the magnificent setting arouses the rest of your senses. We stayed four days and can't wait to indulge ourselves again by returning. Inn keeper is a real delight.

After reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor we chose this B&B for our first visit to Vermont. We were excited to stay here on a family vacation with our 11-month-old daughter and flew in from Utah, but upon arrival were promptly made aware that contrary to the online reviews (which mention children staying here), children are not welcome in... Client did not tell me she had a baby when making the booking. I would not have accepted the reservation . When she appeared at the door i said "i did not know you had a baby" her responce was "oh, i must have forgotten to tell you" Children that are over 14 are welcome. My clients come here to... More

Absolutely the best B & B by all standards--an idyllic location in the woods by a covered bridge, waterfall, meandering stream, and a quaint church. The home is beautiful and comfortable with gorgeous furnishings. The innkeeper, Joan Seymour, is a warm and gracious hostess who we consider to be our friend after two visits. We can't wait to return again... More

When we could not find lodging on a " leafers weekend," we struck gold - a late cancellation. We found the GRBH, a beautifully restored, immaculate, 18th century country house on the river with a covered bridge and country church nearby. Joan Seymour, the charming innkeeper, greeted us warmly and showed us to our room with a jacuzzi and balcony... More

This B&B was exceptional in every way. The area was just beautiful. I can't even pick what we liked more! The covered bridge, skipping stones in the river, the peaceful nature of the area, or the gorgeous home. Great care was taken into making each guest feel comfortable. Joanie Seymour, the owner, goes to great lengths to provide her guests... More

If your idea of perfect Autumn in Vermont is a cosy inn net to a covered bridge spanning a beautiful small river with brightly colored leaves abounding everywhere, this is the place for you. We stayed two nights in the Sunshine Room with a jacuzzi and a deck overlooking the beautiful yard. We left the sliding glass doors ajar at... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Set in the picturesque village of Green River on a winding country road, the Green River Bridge House is nestled against the meandering Green River a few steps away from the historic Green River Covered Bridge. Across the road, perched on a small hill, is the former Methodist Episcopal Church, a classic white, steepled structure.Next to the covered bridge, water thunders over a rare, restored circa 1790 timber crib dam.The house, built in 1830, once housed the Green River Post Office. In earlier days the barn was the site of the local blacksmith shop. Lovingly and skillfully transformed, the Green River Bridge House is luxurious in comfort and sensuous in visual appeal. Every room is a warm embrace of soft colors, fine antiques and other unique furnishings.Though small enough to be homey, it is large enough and appropriately equipped to be the perfect setting for an intimate wedding or anniversary celebration. ... more   less
