Don't go to the Alpenrose for luxurious rooms. Go because the hosts will take very good care of you and the surroundings are beautiful. We stayed there in the summer, as my husband and daughter were preparing for a long backpacking trip. Our hosts helped us out with extra plastic bags, refrigerator space and room in the common areas to... More

My wife and I stayed at the Alpenrose Inn during a ski trip to Stratton Mountain. Most of the on mountain accommodations were booked when we were planning the trip so we opted for a B&B off mountain. That turned out to be a fantastic decision! Our stay at Alpenrose was nothing short of phenomenal. Annie and David, the Innkeepers,... More

My son and I stayed at the Alpenrose Inn for 2 nights last week, while on vacation skiing at nearby Stratton (10 minutes away). It had to be the most pleasant lodging experience I've ever had. The Inn was very comfortable, clean, well-kept, and incredibly atmospheric and cozy. But by far the most outstanding characteristic of the Inn was the... More

I found this place by accident on Tripadvisor and booked for the Columbus day weekend and after that booked several more stays and recommend it to anyone who wants to hear it. It is situated in the country side, close to Stratton Mountain and Bromley Mountain. The interior is unique, very warm, some Alpen souvenirs, some Vermont Souvenirs, always the... More

Close to Bromley Mtn and Stratton Mtn, this beautiful bed & breakfast has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. As stated in almost every other review, it's the hosts that give this place such high ratings. Annie & David are warm, caring people who do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.

What a fantastic place to stay. My family and I took a trip to ski at Stratton Mountain last winter, we returned to our home saying that is was the best vacation ever. The innkeepers Ann and David were some of the most polite people you will ever meet. There is a game room which was really fun for the... More

I know it's not ski season but I just stayed at the Alpenrose Inn for a long holiday weekend. It was great. Annie and David are phenomenal. Friendly, outgoing, attentive, great with the details and little stuff. They did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. I would not hesitate to stay again the next time I am in... More

We stayed at the Alpenrose Inn on our ski trip to Stratton. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Annie and David (the innkeepers) surrounded us with warmth and hospitality like members of their family. They take great care of the place. Annie cooks delicious homemade breakfast and dinners. Room are good size with private shower, closet,... More

We've been bringing our boys to the Alpenrose for 6 years now. We don't stay anywhere else. Dave and Annie are people we consider friends first, innkeepers second. They are simply some of the best human beings you will run across in this life. And the Inn is great for everyone, lots of common space. You meet new friends every... More

Alpenrose Inn is a pleasant and hospitable place to stay. Annie and David are warm hosts. She serves a breakfast completely made to order, including local eggs and smokehouse bacon. The inn has many common area amenities, including many interesting books, a video viewing room and a generous, new parlor to relax in. Password-free WiFi was available in the room.... More
