We traveled here two times this year ( summer) with my 4 yr. old , husband and myself. The room is cozy- charming and cute as a button. The balcony was small- but really great to step out into nature- it was on the main road-( but still surrounded by trees). The pool is clean - and the hot tub-... more

My wife and I just returned from a great weekend at the Black Bear Inn. We were looking for a cozy place to relax and take a break, and found it here. Both the innkeepers and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome at all times. We had dinner at the inn our... more

My partner and I were married this month at the Black Bear Inn. A significant contributing factor in choosing this inn, were the multiple glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. Our fellow travelers were right on the mark! Even a small wedding requires a lot more coordination than I ever expected - and from the very beginning, innkeeper Jill was helpful,... more

After staying at chain hotels with indifferent staff and no atmosphere the Black Bear Inn was a welcoming stop. Lovely hosts and comfortable accomodation and a great breakfast ticked all the boxes for us. Also great value and lovely location close enough to Burlington, the Ben & Jerrys factory and some choice roads for viewing the autumn colours. more

We travel to the Black Bear Inn at least one time per year, sometimes two. We were married at the inn in October of 2007. I love everything about the inn! Brian & Jill (the owners) are the most amazing people! They made our wedding unforgettable! Our family and friends still talk about how great it was! Every stay is... more

My husband and I booked a night at the Black Bear Inn after reading the reviews online. We were traveling to Burlington to move our daughter into her first apartment, and arrived at the inn exhausted! We were greeted personally by the innkeeper, Jill, who made the check in process so simple and quick - we were able to drop... more
