My daughter and I stayed here for one night while visiting Bennington College. It was very sweet - clean, spacious rooms, kind staff, delicious breakfast. The decor is Victorian/Shabby Chic. The property seems to be well-kept. Our room didn't have a fireplace, but I assume that a place with four chimneys has fireplaces in some rooms!! We would definitely go... More

As we drove up the driveway of this beautiful property I started to think of Fawlty Towers. I needn't have worried. Everything is handled impeccably and non-intrusively. Big sweeping views of the Vermont countryside, a frozen pond on the grounds, and within walking distance of quaint church, and of course The Monument. The room was lovely; quiet, comfortable, and well... More

Pete, Lynn, and Lynn's mom and staff did a wonderful job planning our small wedding here on 3/14/15. Every detail was set and made us and our guests feel so welcomed. The inn is beautiful and gives a much deserved respect to the inns history with decorations and tastefulness. I will treasure this memory forever. Thank you so much for... More

We switched from another motel in town to the Four Chimneys and couldn't have been happier. What a wonderful inn...comfortable, private, quaintly elegant, beautiful setting...we'll definitely be returning.

I was recently traveling south to New Jersey from a weekend of skiing. The snow was falling, and the roads were soon unsafe for our car. We needed to find a place to hole up for the night and just happened to find the Four Chimneys Inn. What a excellent surprise it was! As one can imagine, the harrowing drive... More

I had a 2 night stay at the Four Chimneys Inn, Bennington VT. It had snowed the day before which added to the magical feel of the building and grounds. The inn was very quiet (I believe I may have been the only guest on my first night). The room was warm and comfortable and I would not hesitate to... More

I should disclose from the outset that I do not like B&Bs - "quaint and charming" often translates into old and smelly. "Friendly and welcoming" can be code for lack of privacy and in-your-face nosiness. Thankfully, this was not my experience at Four Chimneys. It really is an impressive early 20th century manse that appears lovingly taken care of. I... More

My husband and I booked this room 2 hours before we checked in. Driving from Brooklyn back to Montreal, we decided we needed a break. This inn came highly reviewed and we took a chance. Arriving at four chimneys at night we were already hooked by how beautiful the grounds and the in looked on the outside. We checked in... More

My husband and I stayed at the Four Chimneys Inn in October while on a fall foliage trip. I couldn't have been happier with our stay there. The room was exceptionally large, with a king sized bed, a beautiful bay window, and a gas fireplace. The staff was welcoming, the grounds were beautiful and the location was excellent. The owner... We recently stayed at the Four Chimneys Inn to spend a few days and enjoy touring Vermont to see fall foliage. Check-in was prompt, room large, bed very comfortable. Bathroom was large and very clean. Breakfast was just OK, would have preferred to not have assigned seating and be able to visit with other guests at larger tables. We had... More
