Stayed there beginning of August, and the pool was greener than the trees. The photos are obviouly 20+ years old. This place is tired and run down. Our room had several bugs in it that kept re-appearing, no matter how many we killed / put outside. All my wife could say the entire weekend was "Oh My GOD !!" I... more

Room was infested w/ small caterpillars. They reappeared even after bug spray was laid down. No other rooms were available and was not offered a refund for the room that was uninhabitable. Owner was to call and did not. Happened 8/5/06. more

The room smelled musty, they gave us 2 double beds and a pull out CHAIR for 5 people - the pull out can NOT be used! We were charged $25 higher when we got there and she was very rude. We were told not to congregate at one persons room - (we rented 3 rooms). Never again!! more

I stayed at the Fife N Drum in Bennington, VT along with some family members in June, 2005. We arrived late at night, and the staff was friendly and helpful , even at 3 AM. We had an extremely restful night, and enjoyed our very comfortable and exceptionally clean room very very much. We totally enjoyed our 4 day stay at the Fife 'n Drum Motel. The rooms are spotless, and very well appointed, and we felt more at home here than at any other motel on our trip. Their pool is beautiful and exceptionally maintained, and is the only pool in town that is deep enough for diving. Our room had a... more
