We stayed at the Molly Stark for one night in the General Stark's room. This room was a suite, so it was spacious. But it was the little things that detracted. Just two to illustrate: the sitting room had an air conditioner (none in the bedroom), that had to be adjusted with a pair of pliers (supplied). The bathroom sink... more

Touted as charming & cozy. The Grandma Moses Room was "so cozy", it had a low slanted ceiling & NO window. The window was in the bathroom with a tiny fan. It was over 90 degrees in August. The Inn bordered on shabby. We were very disapponted. more

We loved the Molly Stark Inn. It was a one night stop on a road trip through Vermont and we went for the more expensive Sugarhouse Suite. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Molly Stark Inn for 2 nights over New Year's. We had a fantastic stay! The breakfasts were WONDERFUL! We stayed in the 3rd floor attic suite and loved it. Reed and Erin were very welcoming and hospitable. If I'm in Bennington again I will definitely stay there. more

We spent last Thanksgiving here and will do it again this year. Reed serves marvelous breakfasts (the bacon is marvelously smoked). We found this wonderful bed and breakfast by chance. It was one of the best finds of our trip to Vermont. The room (The General Stark) was great and the breakfast was everything good I have seen written about it and more. We hope to return and enjoy Reed's hospitality and cooking. more
