The first thing we noticed was the bad smell in the lobby and later in the room the place smells exactly like a pet's shop and it was really unpleasent, lucky we booked it only for one night. If you don' t care about the smell then it's a OK place to sleep in , however, a bit expensive for... More

This is NOT the place for you. Desperately in need of renovation. Extremely funky musty smell. Tiny old TV with only minimum channels. Only two very crappy pillows, almost was like not having pillows, seemed years old. Blanket on bed was that scratchy, old style from when I was a kid, Particularly bad for business travelers, although there was reliable internet,... More

Just what you would expect from a motel. Rooms in the lobby building were fine. Beds comfy and bathrooms clean Plenty of space and coffee available after 7am. Well placed with only a short walk into town.

On the positive side: this place is set back from the highway so there is no traffic noise. It's also clean. On the negative side: it's old and feels old (the TV, worn carpet, armoire doors that stick and creak, drippy faucet, a lamp that didn't work). The wifi was very poor; we were disconnected numerous times, which was very... More

The location is good for getting to the town centre without having to take a car. While the inn has a pool and garden , which feature in it's brochure, we found it's actual location a little drear - behind a library building. Our ground floor room on the front of the building was very dark (fortunately we didn't spend... More

As Milton wrote about defending through the circles of hell he surely took inspiration from this dump. Sure it's cheap, the only positive about the entire experience. Miserable staff, smelly and dirty rooms, broken showers and an alarm set for midnight by some previous guest (or maybe the maid) If there is nowhere else to stay when you're in Bennington,... More

We stayed here last minute when we decided to stop in Bennington for the night on a roadtrip to Maine. We had our two-year-old with us. It is a little dated, but charming with a friendly staff and GREAT morning coffee. The building we stayed in had beautiful wood beans and some great art in the stairwells. We slept well... More

First the Pros - this place is in a good location- across the parking lot from The Brown Cow- a great place for breakfast, and a short walk to downtown. (It's a little hard to find - up behind a closed restaurant). It was fairly clean. The Cons - the room was very old and dated. It had a tiny,... More

Thank you for the review and input. The pool is not heated as of September 15 . The premier rooms have refrigerators and if available we will supply you with one upon request. The economy rooms have showers only. We are updating TV's. More

My sister and I were heading back to the Albany Airport and decided to stop and stay in Bennington. After striking out at two other locations we saw a sign for Paradise Inn and took a chance and thankfully they had a room with two beds available. When we walked in we did notice that there was a funky smell... More

Thank you for the review. If you decide to stay with us again I would try the Premier rooms which are much bigger and have updated furnishings. We are in the process of updating to flat screens. Thanks for the feedback and for staying with us. More

I was in Bennington for one night and the folks at Hemmings Motor News recommended the Paradise Inn and I can see why, it was great. It was still about $100 for a room with no breakfast, but it was as clean as the Biltmore Estate and as quiet as being in a sound chamber. It had a small tube... More
