So glad I stayed here! Every detail has been attended to. The place is gorgeous. It's a thoughtfully renovated Victorian era house with comfy rooms and beds, beautiful antiques and gorgeous decor. Free wifi in room and in the parlor. Dan and Yasunari are genuinely warm and gracious hosts. The location is just off downtown Barre within easy walking distance... More

A very quaint place decorated to reflect the period of the house. I must say the room we had at the front was fine but quite noisy from outside traffic. Breakfast were very nice , different each day. 8 am for breakfast is a bit early I must say but we were up and out early to explore the area... More

My sister and I attend a family reunion in a small town near Barre every year. This is the first year we decided to try staying in Barre which was a terrific idea. We were impressed with the Maplecroft Inn and its helpful and thoughtful hosts. it is an easy walk down the hill to the center of Barre where... More

We love Maplecroft and are already looking for a reason to stay again. The hosts are absolutely wonderful, they have perfected a method for making one feel right at home. We stayed 2 nights and both breakfasts were delicious. The menu comprised a clever mix of healthy and indulgent, with fresh, local ingredients assembled creatively without being so "gourmet" as... When we pulled up to this B&B, the first thing you notice is that it is in an old, run down neighborhood. The trash cans of the homes next door were overflowing with refuse. The front of this B&B looked shabby. Does anyone here do yard work? Upon walking up to the front door, you will see empty pots for... More

Yasunari I, Owner at Maplecroft Bed And Breakfast, responded to this review

This review was posted for a few days a few weeks ago and was removed once but is now being reposted. In her initial review, she referred to me as “an oriental person” who “gave us the creeps”. She replaced the “oriental person” with my name but her reference, “Yasunari really gave us the creeps” while giving no specific reason... More

My husband and I have stayed in this B&B at least eight times as we have family in the area and have loved it every time. Great hosts {always make you feel at home}, beautiful inn and lovely rooms, super clean, and breakfast not to be believed, it is so delicious. My husband needs gluten free food and they always... This is our second visit to this area and the second time that we have stayed here. The innkeepers are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and can recommend things to do and see in the area as well as recommend local restaurants. A hot, freshly prepared breakfast is served in the morning group style with friendly conversation and... More

We spent two nights there during a trip on the East Coast and found the innkeepers extremely nice people. Room was nice and furnished with antique pieces and breakfast cooked at the moment. Wonderful Vermont experience we would recommend to anybody. If you find it hard to sleep in a noisy enviroment ask for a room away from the road:... More

Maplecroft is in a beautiful old home in Barre, VT where your hosts have created a warm and inviting place to relax and rest. While we were there, the house was exceptionally quiet. There was no tv in our room but there is a small tv room on the main floor. OUr room was very clean and tidy. The king... More

We stayed 3 nights in this old Victorian B&B in Barre, VT. The interior is filled with antique furniture. Brass rail beds are fitted with modern, comfortable mattresses and a/c is installed in every room. Even though guests take a step back in time, the place is airy and spotless. Some common areas could use some attention (repairs) but none... More
