We booked a room over the phone. We got there and the owner guy made us fill everything out while gabbing away on his cell phone in another language, never greeting us. We went rafting with one of the big outfits that do the Green River and needed someplace to stay in Vernal. Split Mountain has so-so rooms, no pool or restaurant or much hospitality. The rates were too much by 10% for what we got. If we did it again we'd choose the Rodeway Inn, no frills but a little nicer. more
