I wish that this hotel lived up to its website. We were expecting one of those great "Western breakfasts". Instead we got stone cold scrambled eggs, bland pancakes, a bottle of a Walmart apple juice on the table and bacon. No homemade preserves, granola, etc. There is a sign over the kitchen table that says "We serve two menu items:... more

One of the most relaxed, friendly, feel-at-home places we've stayed in our travels. Kevin & Jeannee were the most gracious hosts, and Kevin provided our breakfasts made to order. We had the most enjoyable time visiting with him and feel we've made a new friend for life. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Utah. Cecil & Connie... more

You get what you pay for, I guess. The wife (hostess) was absent during our stay of one night. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Hound dogs nearby barked endlessly. Clark's restaurant in town had good burgers but VERY POOR service! more

We spent two nights at CLB&B and found the accomodations good and the hospitality excellent. The facility enjoys beautiful views of Bryce (from below, in the nearest by town of Tropic). Kevin, the proprietor, traces his lineage both to the original settlers of the valley (1870's) and to William Shakespeare (a direct male line to Will's brother). And this is... more

What a disappointment. Do not believe the beautiful website. Perhaps the second floor rooms would be better and more private. We wanted to see the mountains but our only window was the french door and everyone walked by so we had to keep the blinds closed. A form letter of a greeting. more

We stayed for 2 days and the hosts were not there either day. Their son was there but he never introduced himself as their son, provided his name or told us where the hosts were or if we'd be seeing them. We were not offered a key to the room and our subsitute host seemed surprised when we asked for... more

Stayed here on a recent visit to Bryce. Lovely setting - very quiet. Well maintained room with a new, very comfortable mattress. Not much info about the place given when we checked in. Never saw the owners. I believe we were greeted by one of their daughters. No common area for guests in the house. Had a hot tub out... more

The house was lovely, the grounds as well. The room was clean and attractive. However, the mattress on the bed was so old and lumpy we found it virtuallyimpossible to get to sleep. I resorted to trying to gat comfortable on the floor while my husband toughed it out on the bed. We had scheduled to stay two nights but... more

Tropic turned out to be an excellent base from which to explore Bryce Canyon, the Escalante Grand Staircase area and even Zion. The hosts at the Bryce Canyon Livery B&B were friendly and the rooms were fine, with the wireless internet a somewhat unanticipated plus. We had three different family members preparing breakfast during our four night stay, and each... more

but we enjoyed our stay. It was nice to be "away from it all" and have peace and quiet. Morning breakfast was filled with good western stories and we enjoyed spending that time with people from European countries. There was nothing wrong with the food and we left every morning with our stomachs filled and ready to go. We didn't... more
