This place is merely average. It's so old and outdated and in need of major renovations and updates. Snowbird is beautiful, but wouldn't stay at this place again. It barely cost us anything so it was a value all things considering, but NEVER would I pay to come here. Actually, I probably wouldn't come back if it were free. Convenience,... More

Time to update rooms and bathrooms. Window in shower is quite bizarre. Beds are comfortable and service is good. No place to have coffee or a snack during day or at night in the lodge. Food in restaurants that are open are very pricey. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had paid extra for a mt.view and saw the... More

My wife sent me on a ski vacation for my birthday and I told her I wanted to stay at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird. I must say, it was the most awesome gift ever. Everyone treated me great and the staff was most helpful. Even with the little things like extra coffee and sugar. The staff of the restaurants... More

if you like dirty hot tubs with badly behaving children, rooms that are fair, employees who could care less, then the Cliff Lodge is for you. Its a two star pretending to by a four star. It gets away with it because its at the bottom of the Bird

Family vacation that had what we needed - free valet, ski tickets for the family as part of the package, free ski locker that fit 4 sets of gear, free DVD player in room and some DVDs at the concierge, 3 hot tubs & 1 outdoor pool for kids, free washer/dryer at end of hall. what is not so good... This was my first time at Snowbird as a conference attendee. The conference facilities were excellent, the hotel staff was pretty good. The best, most attentive person was in the Aerie Bar/Lounge on the tenth floor. She (Lindsey) was knowledgeable, affable, intelligent, and a good listener who despite the late hour treated us like royalty! Well, at least like welcome... More

We have stayed here multiple times during ski season, mostly because we want a ski-in/ski out option at Snowbird. It's a fine, fairly impersonal hotel, but there aren't many options in the area. In case you are lucky enough to have options here are the pros and cons: Pros: Definitely ski in, ski out-- every room has a locker on... More

This place has class and reminds me of a post modern european oasis. That said, many aspects are pricey although the room-lift packages are a relatively great deal. The skiing/boarding is not for beginners but if you are at least a solid intermediate it is worth spending several days to check out the challenging slopes and beautiful vista. The spa... More

The Cliff Lodge is the largest of the hotel/condo facilities in Snowbird. The building dates from the late 60s or early 70s but has been renovated since then. The public areas, including the Aerie Restaurant, have been even more recently renovated. That said, the rooms are plain and nothing particularly special. The room and the furniture is dark and not... More

As background, in February 2012, I led a group of 20 skiers from Virginia to Utah for a week of skiing at Snowbird and Alta. We had the pleasure of staying at the Cliff Lodge and Spa, occupying 10 hotel rooms. This review is written in that context. We arrived at the Cliff about 1 pm, early for the normal... More
