Good midpoint between Los Angeles and Yellowstone. We had a good night's sleep and woke up ready to go, All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room is unusually large. We were glad to see two convenience stores within walking distance plus a Subway for our evening meal.

My husband and I needed a place to stay between California and Colorado. After reading the reviews on trip advisor we stayed here instead of Delta. The lady at the front desk was nice, the place was clean, smelled clean and quiet. There is a subway sandwich shop next door at the gas station, and there was breakfast buffet of... More

My husband and I were on our way to Moab last year looking for a place to camp on the way. There was a awful storm so we kept on driving. We finally came across this hotel fairly late at night. The room was huge! and very clean. The owner was also polite and accommodating. We plan on staying there... More

We were headed South when a winter storm hit most of Utah. Due to cold weather and closed roads, we ended up staying 3 nights. It was a good place to be stranded. The rooms were standard, but comfortable and clean. Good heating system kept the room warm in below zero weather. The free breakfast had all the standard offerings... More

A friend told us about this motel and it definitely lived up to her recommendation. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is super clean inside and out, comfortable and quiet. Healthy breakfast choices were welcome. A gas station, small grocery area and Subway are right next door with another gas station across the street. It was nice not... More

This was our last stop before heading home from a great vacation. It does feel like the middle of nowhere, especially if you arrive after dark (had a lot of trouble finding one turn in the dark, and also had trouble finding the entrance to the hotel), but the hotel is very nice and we had a good sleep before... After traveling the loneliest highway from California, a very pleasant surprise appeared at the intersection of US 50 and Interstate 15. The Scipio Hotel is located conveniently where the two highways meet and it offers a clean, hospitable and very affordable place to stay in an otherwise rather isolated part of the country. The hotel seems to be very new... More

New management! Very clean hotel in remote location (only hotel for miles)...comfortable bed -- got a good night's sleep...friendly, helpful managers...no pet fee...wheelchair accessible. Would definitely stay here again.

On a family road trip - on our way from Bryce Canyon toward Salt Lake City. We were planning to stay in Beaver some towns just north of there that had plenty of hotel options, but they all had fairly negative reviews. I looked a little further north and saw ONE hotel in Scipio and nothing else. No restaurants or... More

I stayed here with my sons in August 2013 after a long day of driving on "The Loneliest Road in America" Highway 50 across Nevada. It was a godsend! The rooms were modern and clean - no flaking caulking or dirty grout in the corners; the managers were efficient and friendly. Free breakfast in the morning was a bit sparse... More
