We discovered this campground with the help of Tripadvisor and what a treat. There are many sites to choose from and we had no problem without a reservation. This piece of heaven is a must for all campers. Our whole family loves the beauty of the surroundings! We also loved visiting the Fremont Museum (especially the kids) and going on all of the near by hikes. After a long day of driving through very hot country, we were so pleased to arrive at our site (15, I think) at Castle Rock campground. It was shaded by numerous trees and near a babbling creek. We stayed in site 30, along the outer loop and loved it -- lots of shade trees, close to hiking along the rock formations, and fairly private. The inside sites on the other side of the road do back to a little stream, but it is tiny and the sites seemed a little claustrophic with a lot of bushes and... More
