This was our first trip to Deer Valley and the Stein Ericksen Lodge far exceeded our expectations! It definitely lives up to it's 5 star rating. This resort is the perfect combination of elegance and sophistication in a warm, cozy atmosphere. We went in the summer so we could enjoy the magnificent views sitting out on the veranda each morning... More

We stayed in the summer. The hotel is one of the nicest (if not the nicest) place we've ever stayed. Grounds were immaculate. A fair amount of walking and stairs but no big deal for us. The suites are HUGE. Behind the resort is a place to rent mountain bikes and get hiking equipment. You can use to the Silver... More

After really looking forward to a stay at the Stein Erikson I was very disappointed. I can only imagine that the difference between a Summer stay at the SEL and a winter stay are worlds apart. The layout with lots of little interconnecting rooms was not what I expected - very easy to get lost. The location of the SEL... More

Although I have a small & brief frame of reference, I have the impression that the SE is the top notch ski resort in Deer Valley, and probably one of the top in the US. ( I have not visited the St Regis Deer Valley, but I imagine it is also top notch in a different way.) We only spent... More

Stopped for lunch at the lodge. We were here in summer but the ski run obviously comes straight to the door. Great view of the quaking aspens! It's very European in feel--it's named after a Norwegian Olympic skier and lives up to its 5-start rating. The hotel is lovely and lunch was very tasty--there was a huge brunch buffet but... More

An amazing old world feel, first class service, and beautiful adventure all in one! There is no " attitude or "down the nose" treatment from staff. the food is $$ but worth it. Everything from sitting on the amazing decks to walking through the historic lobby is comfort with class. Quiet and welcoming, romantic yet families love it, fun with... More

Having spent half of my life traveling in Switzerland I was surprised to find a very European style Lodge here in Deer Valley. I have traveled several times to this area but this latest experience is worth mentioning. From the moment you drive up to the Stein Eriksen Lodge you notice that the service is relaxed yet flawless. They learn... More

Visiting for an anniversary trip, my husband and I were treated perfectly. EVERY staff member was high class and ready and willing to assist in any way we needed from the time we arrived to the time we left. We were treated to excellent accommodations (and, upon arrival, received a thoughtful anniversary card along with some amazing snacks for our... More

What a fantastic property, the rooms were superb and the grounds were immaculate kept. The combination of the bedding package and leaving the door open letting the cool mountain air come into the room offered one of the best night sleeps I have in recent memory. I would strongly recommend this hotel over the other luxury properties in the area.

There's not a finer hotel than Stein Erickson Lodge. Every staff member treats you like a welcome guest. The rooms are furnished with everything you need. We brought food and cooked mainly in our room, though you'd be silly not to eat at least Brunch at the on-site restaurant, which is the best brunch I've ever had. My wife and... More
