The Prospector is more of a condo complex rather than a hotel, and different rooms/units most likely belong to different owners. I guess that explains the mixed reviews. My husband and I stayed there during our skiing trip, end of February - beginning of March, with another couple. Our room (building 5, room 532) was excellent. We were on the... More

This place has nothing to be proud of. The front desk said the hot tub would be open until 8pm so my fiance and I scheduled our evening around their time line. We tried to go to the hot tub around 6:45pm and low and behold it was closed. There was no one to help us or open it. absolutely... More

Stayed in Unit 625 in building six. I have stayed in two other ski towns in Colorado and thought I would find it disappointing. It was clean comfortable and fairly spacious as the ceiling was vaulted. There was a ceiling fan and a deck. The bed closest to the kitchen area was uncomfortable to me as it was too soft,... More

I'm at The Prospector for the third year in a row, and this time we're staying in one of the 3-bedroom units on the 3rd floor. Each unit is different, and this one is beautiful. The master bed/bath is huge and comfortable; the two other bedrooms share a newly rennovated bath with a platform tub. Park City is an easy... More

We rented a "standard hotel room" for a week while my husband was in Park City for a seminar. We left at 6am after the first night! First, the check-in person barley spoke Engish & compeatly lacked any kind of coustomer service or social skills. Second, the room was not a hotel room. Our room was on the 2nd floor... More

I stayed here while attending a conference and other than location it was inconvenient for a business traveler. Limited services. I had to checkout in the morning, there was no one to assist with luggage, I had to drag my luggage through the snow from the furthest building - as it had snowed the walk ways were poorly accessible. Once... More

I was a little worried making reservations, primarily because reviews were so-so and photos were mediocre at best. I must admit, my friend and I were very happy with our choice. Beds were comfy and rooms were not noisy at all (we requested 2nd floor). Upon check-in the desk person was kind enough to give keys to two different units... More

My friend and I stayed at the Prospector while we were in town for the Sundance Film Festival. The room exceeded our expectations. Although they had a 5-night minimum stay, we still spent less on the room overall than we would have at one of the other popular Sundance hotels. The Prospector has it's own shuttle stop (2 actually), and... More

I am returning to Prospector Square for the 2nd time - both times for a 3-week conference in July. All the units I have seen are nicely furnished, and the location is great. You can walk outside and hop on the free city bus and get anywhere easily. My only complaint is that there are some families living in the... More

After 4 years we returned to Prospector Square, but tried our luck with All Seasons Mgt for their buy one/get one free night prepaid offer, making cost of slightly larger studio with full kitchen less than $100 per night. Check in was at Carriage House and more helpful than previous experience at Prospector. Room was ready, so allowed very early... More
