Myself and a group of friends are also victims of fradulent acts by Samm Owens (owner of Park City condo at 5643 Olso Lane - Bear Hollow Village). We have not been able to recover our $500 security deposit, despite the fact we have a rental agreement that states it will be returned within 14 days of departure and it has now been over 3 months. There have been numerous promises to return the money. The owner finally sent an envelope via priority mail and it was empty. This is an obvious scheme by the owner. I believe the property is now for sale, however I would would not suggest renting any properties from this owner. We are now taking legal action in a very painful attempt to recover our money. more

We rented VRBO #150107 Bear Hollow Village (5643 Oslo Lane, Park City Utah) in April 2008. A security deposit of $500 was required; we followed all procedures properly and had no problems during our stay. The contract states that the deposit will be returned within 14 days-it is now April 2009 and no money. On contacting her in May 2008, she stated "I will get it in the mail on Monday, I am so sorry for the delay!! Naturally, no check. We sent 3 registered letters, countless calls, faxes, and e-mails, no check. She stole $500 from our family and now refuses all contact. We are having to take her to court to try to get our money back. If you have $500 to donate to her personal checking account, by all means rent away! more
