The rooms are cleans and reasonable spacious, the staff is friendly and helpful. While I was there the town had the heaviest rain that the motels owner could remember in his 22 years in the town. Drains and pumps were overwhelmed and the room I was occupying actually flooded. The owners moved me to a dry room and handled the... More

As someone who stays in "business" hotels a tremendous amount, I can say with some pleasure that the Color Country Motel beats a lot of them. It also beats some Marriotts, some Best Westerns and every "number" motel (Motel 6 etc). Strange? Consider this: it's family-run (and you will get to know the owners by name). The beds are comfy.... I've stayed here several times and have noticed upgrades in the past couple of years. We had a fridge & microwave in our room but that may not be the case with all rooms. If you need these items make sure you ask when you book. The place is clean and well kept. Check out the old - dare I... More

A good base for a trip to Bryce - far better than Tropic - and the start of a drive along Scenic Byway 12. Rooms are well furnished and have small dining table and microwave. They are clean and have good sound insulation. No breakfast, but plenty of hot coffee available from reception in the morning. The owner is most... More

We stayed here for one night at the end of april 2014. The room was very quiet and clean. The radiator was a bit old and simple, but very efficient! After a day in the cold wind you need this exactly one! You can find some coffee in the lobby and the staff was very friendly and chatty. The microwave... More

Panguitch is full of motels, but this one is a good choice. You won't find any extras here (no coffeemaker in room, no hair dryer, etc.), but the rooms are extremely comfortable, clean, and quiet. No breakfast, but there's tea and coffee in the lobby in the mornings. The woman who checked us in was very friendly. I would stay... More

I stayed here on a recent business trip. It wasn't my first choice (I had reservations in another town), but the weather and roads were bad, so I stayed here instead of driving further. I was very pleasantly surprised by the interior of the room. The bedding and decorations were homey and comfortable. Although the room was clearly old, I... More

Stayed here one night and were a little dissapointed. No coffee making facilities in the room, no breakfast, too bad. Also our room had some plumbing problems. Sink had black stuff in it and water wouldnt flush. Also not so clean as mentioned below, especially the bathroom...

After the last motel experience in Panguitch, Utah I was a little apprehensive about staying one more day, but we wanted to visit Zion in hopes of no more rain and it was AAA approved. The owner was very nice and accommodating. We checked in on a rainy afternoon and spent most of the day inside. Room was small but... More

Despite the low rating, primarily for being fairly run-down appearing and a lack of amenities, the beds were comfortable and it was fairly quiet. The "free breakfast" was pretty minimal, and there was no coffee maker in the room (nor was there anything else, really - no toiletries, only one towel, etc.) The decor is definitely country circa 1960. We... More
