My son and I stayed at XBarH while volunteering at Best Friends. The Lodge is beautiful and spotless, but what made our stay outstanding was the hospitality. We brought home a different dog or cat each night from Best Friends for a sleepover and Michelle and BC made everyone feel welcome. Another family (mother/daughter and two dogs) was staying at... Our family group of 10 stayed at XBarH for 5 nights. We rented out the lodge. It was clean, roomy and very comfortable! JC and Michele welcomed us as when we arrived and were perfect hosts! The location is between Zion and Bryce Canyon. The lodge was a perfect place to relax after a hot day hiking, horseback riding and... More

We rented the Mesa Cabin at XbarH and it was perfect. The location was convenient for both Zion and Bryce, the cabin is adorable (plenty of room for 3 people), the kitchen is really well set up with almost everything you have in your own home. Make sure you stock up on beer and wine in Nevada - there is... More

We stayed in the Mesa Cabin. It is tucked against a great red rock wall and faces the narrow valley of Orderville. The location is great for touring the canyons and BLM lands of Southern Utah. The owner had lots of suggestions for things to do and there was tons of literature for all the nearby parks. We found the... More

We loved our stay here. Michelle is a fabulous host. We had the beautiful suite on the top and felt like we had arrived in heaven. Michelle took care of our old doggie, Artie, while we went to Best Friends Animal Society. We also had brought our new kitten, Callasita, and she was played with and entertained while we were... We only stayed one night at the XbarH lodge but now see that we should have booked the whole week. All at once it's in the middle of nowhere AND in the middle of one of the most beautiful parts of the country we've ever visited. Thirty minutes from Zion, an hour from Bryce Canyon, and two hours from the... More

You and your pets will feel pampered here. This place is awesome. Very professionally run and homey at the same time. Loved everything do wn to the great soap in the bathroom! It has ruined staying anywhere else with my dog. The owner is so caring and loves pets AND people. She cares about every person who walks through the... More

I'd scoured a variety of websites, including tripadvisor, for a rental cabin in southern Utah that was genuinely secluded - not the ubiquitous close-up shot where zooming out reveals that the place is actually part of a subdivision, but a proper cabin with some space around it, some privacy, and most of all, a place that blended effortlessly and humbly... If the beauty of a place can be judged by the number of photos you're inspired to take of it, then the XbarH Lodge is truly stunning. From colorful rock formations to tiny flowers, I spent an entire afternoon just roaming and photographing. The only thing I regret not being able to capture with a camera were the stars at... More

My wife Anna and I stayed at the XbarH lodge on the first leg of our move south from Salt Lake City. When we arrived,we were greeted with big smiles and doggy treats from Michele. We stayed in the cabin just behind the lodge, and it was perfect. The place was spotless and equipped with anything thing you could possibly... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tucked away in the beautiful Elkheart Cliffs, the XbarH Lodge offers comfortable accommodations in a unique setting, creating the ideal place for either exploring southwest Utah or just getting away from it all. The XbarH Lodge is conveniently located on US-89, just north of the town of Orderville. It's the perfect location if you're visiting Zion or Bryce Canyon National Parks, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, or if you desire to personally experience the easy pace, natural beauty, and hospitality of life in the canyon lands. Beautiful in every season, the Lodge is available year-round and may be rented either by the room or in its entirety. For a more private getaway, we also offer the secluded Mesa Cabin. The cabin shares the XbarH's 75 acre property and is perfect for small groups or families. The XbarH is happy to host intimate weddings, retreats and family reunions, and resident caretakers are on site to take care of the details and make your stay easy and worry-free. ... more   less
