My husband and I just completed a 4 night stay at the Summit Plaza Hotel in Ogden, UT. We were there as members of a convention. After the convention was booked the hotel was sold. We were informed that the hotel was going to be renovated but the renovations would be complete by the time of our convention. Unfortunately the... More

Front desk closed. Elevators not working. Pool closed. Gym closed. All restaurants closed. Then, the evening before, they block of ALL parking by a door or close to your room so some tour buses can use the entire parking lot IN THE MORNING. You'll just have to lug your luggage up and down the stairs and around the entire hotel.

This facility used to be a Marriott, then went independent and is now undergoing a renovation to bring it back to Marriott standards. When we were there, a lot of construction workers were on site creating, as can be expected, a lot of noise and dust. None of the public areas were in service including the lobby and restaurant. Even... More

It would have been a much better stay but it was too hot in the room. We had to get a box fan which made it better but not a good fix. Needs an update! The front desk did their best with the situation but should have compensated us.

Awful/Awful Experience! ~Guest Beware~ RUDE Staff RUDE STAFF RuDe StAff RAN OUT of Hot Water (after 2 minutes) Most of this hotel is under renovations - but they do nothing to compensate or make guests want to stay here during this time - like 75% of the hotel is closed off (be aware) The Marriott branch should be ashamed to... Major disappointment. Had high hopes for the hotel, knowing it was previously a Marriott and is undergoing remodeling to become a Courtyard Marriott. Well, it obviously isn't there yet, and has a long way to go at measuring up to Marriott's standards. Spent three days in a west-facing room with an nonfunctioning air conditioner (in 95 degree weather) that wouldn't... More

We've stayed at this hotel for MANY years when it was the Marriott and always had a wonderful experience. Good energy, friendly staff, lots going on. We recently took a road trip with friends who'd never been to Ogden and were really embarrassed by recommending this hotel to them. The reservation desk should have informed us of the renovations when... More

I've stayed at this hotel maybe 15 times when it was the Ogden Marriott. This was my first stay since it left the Marriott family, and the hotel is not what it used to be. Stayed one night on a business trip and was shocked after checking in to find the restaurant and bar closed.
