We arrived at the hotel at about midnight on a Friday night and were able to get a deluxe suite without reservations. The room had an old look to it and the lighting was dim, but it was very clean and had a nice feel to it. We were on the fourth floor. As noted in another review, the pipes... more

I have no idea what people who liked this hotel are talking about. It was extremely shady and had strange smells everywhere like 10 different kinds of inscense burning. The lobby was very dark and depressing. The two girls at the front were nice, but totally unprofessional as a hotel lobby should have. It seemed like they didn't know what... more

Living in Ogden, I have stayed at the Ben Lomond on several occasions rather than drive home late at night. This hotel is really hit and miss. The third floor has been remodeled and has pretty nice rooms, minus the bathrooms. For some reason, the bathrooms have not been updated . The rooms have a nice couch, chair, two television... more

My son had a Karate clinic in Ogden, and we drove around for over an hour trying to find a decent hotel. Ben Lomond was the final choice. Parking was easy, check in was smooth. The room was large and very clean, but at a closer look, the ceiling was buldging in spots and the wallpaper was pealing. The room... more

My Wife and I have just had a wonderful few days in the Powder Mountains of Ogden with the Ben Lomond as our comfortable home base. I found myself wandering off to explore the building and lovely grand halls while my wife checked in. The comfortable funky bar had a jazz band from LA playing on the Friday night and... more

This place looked great on the website. Apparently only the 3rd floor has been remodeled the rest of the hotel is a dump. Stained furniture, no security parking (even though when I called ahead they said there was). The topper was the mold on the soap...which was still in the box. Unless they guarantee you a spot on the 3rd... more

Let me start off by saying that I typically prefer high end hotels (e.g. Four Seasons, Ritz, etc.), so I am probably more judgemental than some individuals. However, I stayed at the Ben Lomond Hotel for one night and it was not a great experience. The people were pretty nice, but the hotel is really, tired, worn, and just odd.... more

This is a quirky, interesting place to stay. We stayed here 2 nights so we could ski at Snowbasin. The hotel was recently purchased by an individual from Radisson. It appears as though they are slowly renovating. Heard they may sell the top floors as condos. The building is beautiful, check out the ballroom on the mezzanine if you can.... more

My wife and I stayed here for two nights a few weeks ago when an Equestrian covention of some sort was in town. We wanted to stay at the Marriot to be in the same hotel as our family who were in Ogden for the convention, but couldn't justify so much more money. We were excited about staying in an... more

This was my first trip to Utah to go snowboarding. All I knew is that I didn't want to stay in the more commercialized crowded areas dealing with high room rates, and Sundance festival crowds, and I wanted someplace with a quick drive to several resorts. Enter the Ben Lomond and its down-to-earth, helpful staff, excellent breakfasts, phenomenal views mountain... more
