In addition to a rustic ranch setting and private deluxe lodges with full amenities, Zion Mountain Resort offers the closest lodging to the east gate of Zion National Park. You can travel to 3 other national parks within a day. We have a restaurant with a diverse and unique menu, and you can enjoy your meal while watching our roaming herd of buffalo. Most of our lodges have jacuzzi or champagne tubs, which is a great way to end a day of hiking, mountain biking, horseback or ATV riding, or canyoneering. more » « less

After staying in Springdale for 4 nights on our trip to Zion and Bryce, we decided to stay someplace on the other side of the park that would be more convenient to Bryce Canyon etc so we chose Zion Mountain Resort because we love staying in cabins. The experience wasn't that great, however. There is nothing to do for miles... more

Great location, easier to get in and out of Zion on the East side. We had a king size bed cabin. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was large and roomy and had a large whirlpool bathtub which was great after a long day of hiking. Late afternoon you can sit on the large porch swings they have and watch the... more

My husband and I stayed at this resort on June 27 & 28. We booked this place since we were going to see Zion and Bryce and thought the location was perfect. The hotel website says the resort is 3 miles from Zion, however, it is still another 25 miles to the parking lot for the tram system...which is really... more

I stayed in a mountain view cabin at Zion Mountain "Resort" for four nights in early June. The cabin was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the linens and towels were very nice. Coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator were provided, along with coffee packets, styrofoam and plastic cups and paper towel. The TV had both a DVD and VHS player... more

Very Nice Cabin near the East end of Zion Park. Paid 143.00 per night so it was a little pricy, but it was quite and peaceful. Very little traffic at night. We stayed at the cabins by the road, but these were not as nice as the new cabins away from the road. Every hotel clerk I dealt with seemed... more

Zion Mountain Resort exceeded all our expectations. We were travelling with 6 people: 2 grandparents, a couple and two boys 8 and 10. We rented the Buffalo Vista Suite for 6 nights. There are three main reasons why I would return: 1)Quality of lodging: We were expecting a nice log cabin, with relatively rustic furnishings and amenities. What we got... more

The cabins were much nicer than depicted on the website. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. I loved the king size beds and the fireplaces in the bedrooms. After a day of touring and horseback riding I really enjoyed relaxing in the champagne jacuzzi tub although the water could have been a bit hotter. The buffalo roamed by the... more

We were lucky enough to snag the last cabin at Zion Mountain Resort on the way back from Bryce Canyon after Thanksgiving - and what a treat! The cabins are really cosy, ours had a hot-tub en-suite, and the decor makes you feel like you're in a cross between a Manhattan boutique and a real wild-west location. That said, Zion... more

We rented a cabin with buffalo view. We were delighted to find a luxurious interior, fabulous shower and tub with very comfy bed and a porch with a glider with cushions for viewing the buffalo. It was heavenly. It was wonderful staying in the cabin and seeing the herd. I could have stayed much longer than the 2 nights we... more

The night sky was amazing. The stars were fabulous. We were a little worried because when we woke up, we saw no buffalo and we had promised the kids they would get to see buffalo. Thank goodness we didn't leave early. I guess buffalo are late risers--or perhaps late water drinkers? A whole herd of them came along later in... more
