I hae been going to Zion Ponderosa every year since 1997. I was a single mom who discovered Zion Ponderosa when I needed an all-inclusive vacation for my children who were 7 & 13 at the time. Zion Ponderosa was wonderful. I drove from Los Angeles to Mt. Carmel. I had no problem following the directions the resort emailed me.... more

Close to Zion Canyon National Park this dude ranch is still trying to figure it what it wants to be. There are million dollars home that have been built adjacent to the resort which you can rent for a surprisingly reasonable price. But the resort itself is a wierd mixture of tent sites, RV hookups, cabins and these high end... more

Very nice campground. Highly recommend for family with children. Lots to do and see. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Our best experience was the jeep tour. Driving distance to Zion National Park is close. more

This place was a huge disappointment. It is far away from Zion (definitely stay in Springdale if you plan to do a lot of hiking and spend time in Zion) and poorly signed so we missed it several times. They advertise a lot of amenities, but the pool does not open until 10am, tennis/bball are only open 8am to 9pm.... more

Having paid USD$267 per night, we expected much more. We had to ask for soap, toilet paper and fresh towels because our lodging wasn't serviced. When we complained about that, we were told that the place would be serviced, but in 4 days it never was. In addition, the food which we paid extra for, was unhealthy (mainly fried )and... more

What a fantastic place - Zion park AND the resort. From reading other reviews before we left, the discrepancy seems to be between the wonderful homes for rent at Zion ridge, and the lodges which are actually at Ponderosa. We enjoyed the TOTAL luxury of staying in Casa del Canyons (Zion Ridge), and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub, next... more

The cabins at this resort are nice. They are clean and they have a nice front porch to sit on and relax. The food is not great and while they have alot of activities, they all cost alot. This was my second trip to Zion and if / when we go again I will not stay at the Ponderosa. All... more

To say we panicked when our five-family caravan finally arrived to Zion Ponderosa after a 9-hour drive, is an understatement. We were planning to camp in tents, and arrived to tiny, brushed-covered, dusty, hilly spots. The temperature was in the 90's and absolutely no shade to be found. There was no place to grill, and the resort would only rent... more

We stayed with friends at the Zion Ponderosa Ranch two weeks ago. We actually wanted to stay in Springdale (where we usually stay when we go to the Zion) but everything was totally booked up. So we booked a cabin suite which is not a 2BD cabin as they state on their website. It is just 1BD with a living... more

We stayed at the Zion Ponderosa Resort [--]for a weekend in early October - it was great. We reserved a cabin suite, appx. $110 per night, and did the all inclusive meal package $35 per day for adults $20 per day for kids. The resort was great, and fun, and there were things for everyone to do. Plus, the pool... more
