5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

It's obvious that this hotel's main asset is its prime location. But we also found the staff very forthcoming and friendly. The Wifi worked fine even in our room although we were pretty far from the lobby. Dinner in the restaurant was fine, service quick. Breakfast was a bit less convincing. Nice gift shop with items you don't find everywhere.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a honeymoon vacation. Due scheduling issues we 1 night in a 3rd floor room and 2 nights in a 2nd floor room . They both were the same in size and viewing options. Our 2nd floor room was farther away from the restaurant/gift shop which allowed us to get better photos.... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in a Premium 2nd floor room. We had an amazing view which is why we picked this hotel. We did not care for the air conditioning. The temperature was at least 5 degrees warmer than what the thermostat indicated. If you turned the thermostat down lower, it didn't seem to cool... More

WE spent one night in cabin 27 and wish it had been a week. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. No TV--but who missed it?? The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant at the hotel was a hop and skip away. I can't wait to come back and stay longer.

Family of 5 stayed 2 nights in cabin 5 and what a treat! Directly in front of the mittens with views of several monuments. There is a hiking trail that goes down to one of the mittens, winds around it and loops back. It's not marked but easy to find. Look for the horse trail. Down is much easier than... More

Impressively blending into the scenery, the view hotel certainly doesn't impose on its breath-taking surroundings. As it's name suggests, the actual view from the hotel rooms is wonderful, especially at sunrise and sunset. However, the furnishings are pretty standard, the staff not super helpful or friendly, and the food in the restaurant pretty dire.

So aptly named! A very beautiful hotel in a very beautiful location! Large clean rooms with the biggest and most beautiful bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel! We had second floor, but I'm sure that no matter which floor or which room you get, you will get THE VIEW! Every room has it's own lanai to sit on and... More

We stayed at The View in July. The hotel needs no explanation. You are plunked right down in the Valley and the view is great. Sunrise and Sunset are fantastic. We booked the category "Premium Second Floor Room" which was very nice. In my opinion, you do not need a top floor and the "Premium Star View" is a waste... More

As other reviews state, you stay here for the view - and it is fantastic. The rooms are a reasonable size and comfortable enough. Reception staff are not particularly friendly but check in went smoothly enough. We ate in the restaurant - service was fine and food ok but expensive for what you get. Take your own snacks if you... The View is an ok accomodation, but there is no doubt what one pays for. Position on the rim, the faboulous view and the lack of competition in the area. One has very few alternatives - if any. So not much to say: "hopelessly" overpriced but ok if one wants to visit Monument Valley by night, see sunrise etc.
