The other reviews here mostly have it right -- this is a budget-class hotel with a somewhat higher price because of the astonishingly wonderful view it provides of Monument Valley. The walls are thin, the amenities somewhat lacking, and the restaurant third-rate, but for us we were pretty prepared for that, and it was a trade-off for the view. As... More

What a great treat and way better than a crowded hotel. I had planned to book a room at the View Hotel, Monument Valley when I happened to notice that they now have brand new cabins available just steps from the hotel. Absolutely perfect for a small family, two adults and two children (they have bunkbeds!) or in my case... More

I loved this hotel. The view is tremendous, and every room has a view. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. This was one of the most memorable hotel stays I have ever had.

Stayed for one night and knew pretty much what to expect. On the plus side: the views are spectacular and the location is convenient. On the minus side: the room rates are high, the walls are thin, and there is no WI-Fi in the rooms. The one & only no frills restaurant is somewhere in the middle. We found the... More

This will be my last time staying at the View Hotel. I realize now that staying there once is enough for the fantastic views. Staying there again only emphases the limitations of the hotel and staff. It is overpriced in my "view" - just above Motel 6 quality at Sedona spa prices. The beds were comfortable. But the rooms are... More

This is a 2-3 star experience with a 5 star view and staff. The facility itself was certainly built from a tight budget and the layout is somewhat confusing, but as others have said the view from all rooms is tremendous and they all have small decks where you can sit and watch the sun move across the monuments. The... More

If you consider the $275 a night plus $20 at the gate the price of enjoying the view overnight then you are getting what you paid for. If you also expect a first class hotel then you are going to be pretty disappointed. This place is not the San Francisco Marriot downtown or The New York Hilton. No bell boys,... More

Opening scene from "The Searchers" starring John Wayne, is your view from every room. Spectacular, right & left mittens plus Merrick rock and mesa's that will leave you breathless. This is a must stay when visiting Monument Valley, you will feel as if John Wayne and Ward Bond are in the valley just waiting for you. Rooms are comfortable, modern... More

We did not stay at the hotel, just had dinner following a jeep tour of Monument Valley. The food was okay and plentiful, and had the distinct advantage of being the only place within miles to eat. The views out the windows were fabulous. This is not a gourmet restaurant, but the food was palatable, and the service was attentive... More

Going to, and staying at Monument Valley is a MUST for any traveller doing the deserts in USA. It really is incredible. Do get out of your car and take some of the long walks. The hotel itself is pretty basic. Comfortable rooms, not luxurious. Nice staff. The food is pretty dreadful but ok for a day or two. There... More
