The View seems to be the most convenient place to stay in MV and it definitely is situated for incredible views as well as a good base of ops for tours of the monuments. As for the service and food, it is just OK. It's a case study in how little competition breeds complacency. There is a shortage of staff... More

We planned a tour of Monument Valley. The View was the perfect place to stay. We were able to catch both sun rise and sun set pictures of the valley. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The view of the valley from our room was perfect.

There's a reason Hollywood has filmed dozens of blockbuster films at this location. It's beautiful. The hotel is the best place to stay for miles around. It has a great restaurant/gift shop/Navajo museum. Don't pass on the chance to see the sun rise and set over this paradise.

Great location to overnight and relax after a few days of extreme hiking. Rooms were very nice as was the service. The grounds are beautiful and the 17 mile scenic drive through monument valley a delight. Navajo people were so friendly and enjoyed sharing their beautiful grounds, stories and arts and crafts with us! Enjoyed the traditional meal for supper.... More

I had read the views were great but didn't have high expectations for hotel. Finally was much better than we thought it would be. Great to stay right there in the middle of it all. Stunning views. You have to get up early to watch sunrise. Absolutely stunning. Star gazing amazing as well. Restaurant was good. Again didn't have much... More

Every room has a balcony with a view of the valley. This is expensive but it's worth it. You can't stop looking at the view. It's enthralling. The reception staff are young Navajo people and are friendly and informative. The rooms are spacious, modern and well appointed. Each balcony has chairs and a table. The decor in the lobby is... Amazing location and hotel Super efficient check in with all paperwork ready and room ready. Some other hotel chains could learn from this. All the staff we encountered were friendly and the room was huge. The views from our second floor room were breath taking. Breakfast was great value at just over 7 dollars and you had such a variety... More

This Hotel lived up to its description in terms of the location and stunning views and a great place to explore the adjacent trails. We stayed in a master suite and this had every facility and a wonderful balcony. However we found the Restaurant very poor for this class of Hotel. and not good value. In fact in the morning... As the name says, you should come here just for "the view". That's it. Maybe my expectations were high considering the location, the price we paid and all the good things I've heard about this place, but my 1-night experience here was somewhat disappointing. The hotel itself is nothing special. During my last trip to the States I've been to... More

Decided to go for the cabins instead of the hotel, it did not disappoint! View is exceptional, would advise the sunrise from your own veranda, unique! Cabin has a double bed and a bunk bed. Everything new and clean. Breakfast buffet was great and lunch too, with reasonable prices. Tip: do the canyon drive right at 8am when it opens,... More
