Great view but not enough to warrant prices to stay in this hotel. The Indians must do better! This hotel is owned by the Navajo tribe which by the way owns the largest reservation in the U.S. Which spans over 4 states and has received over 3 billion USD from the government in pay outs over the last 4 years!... I was disappointed by The View. I'm still glad that I stayed there, but they just miss the mark for what this hotel could be. I booked this place because of my childhood fantasies about Monument Valley and I just HAD to have a balcony overlooking Monument Valley to enjoy sunset and sunrise. While the hotel is newish, the rooms... More

If you want to see Monument Valley at its best this is the hotel to stay at. But don't expect anything more. I am ashamed and embarrassed for this hotel. Staff is less than friendly. It seems as though its a chore to work and the simplest question is constantly answered with "I don't know". There are some staff at... More

If you are interested in seeing monument valley then this is the place to stay. The hotel is the only one in the Navajo tribal land and overlooking some of the monuments. All the balconies in the rooms have a view that is stunning at sunset. The rooms are well furnished with some traditional Navajo rugs on the beds. The... More

We picked this hotel because of its special location and because we wanted to catch sunset and sunrise in the Monument Valley and visit the valley in general. We had a 2QBroom (#115) right in the middle of the first floor, which was a very good spot to take pictures from the balcony. Check-in: Quick, courteous and friendly. (5/5) Condition... More

It's true, it's all about the view - the rest is pretty standard but who cares when you have such a view. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices and of course a breathtaking view! They also played a John Wayne movie projected to the hotel wall at night which was original.

While on vacation in Sedona, Arizona, we drove up to Monument Valley and stayed overnight at the View Hotel. This hotel is all about the view of the valley. The view from the room was spectacular, the pictures do not do it justice, i was totally in awe of the view. This hotel is an Oasis in the middle of... More

We stayed at the cabins because the Hotel was all booked. We were very positively surprised, the cabin we stayed in was brand new. Nice big bathroom, heat and AC, fridge. The bed was comfortable and the bunk cozy. Huge window. Everything was spotless clean. Set my alarm to 6 am and basically just had to open my eyes to... More

It is all about the view which is completely and utterly stunning. I feel so fortunate that we were able to wake up and watch the sun rise over the 'monuments' from our balcony. Because of the high turnaround of rooms on a daily basis it was completely understandable that our rooms weren't ready when we arrived, we just wished... More

Make sure you enjoy sunset and dawn at Monument Valley, it is an awesome experience. Hotel is in the perfect spot and it is well worth staying there overnight rather than just rushing through the place during daytime only. Room is nice with great view, restaurant is not that fancy but still ok.
