The unique location, with every room facing the buttes and spectacular sunrises and sunsets - truly memorable. The lobby is nice to relax in, with traditional music adding to the views through the large windows. The check in time of 4.00 pm can be annoying if you have driven a long way, as is the lack of smiles on the... More

The View hotel is part of the monument valley, and offers great views at sunrise (early wake-up) and sunset. The rooms are large, with balkon as support of this experience. Food is not the primary interest, and rather basic, however made by the Indians.

This place is aptly named. Curtains are closed on arrival. You've seen the photos on the website but this does not prepare you for reality. English humour prompted me to ask the receptionist "Why is this hotel called The View?" I knew full well but it was lost on her! If I'd had a film camera, I' have run out... More

If you are visting Monument Valley, staying for at least one night at The View Hotel is highly recommended. It's a handsome hotel - and the view from your balcony is wonderful. In an earlier review from 2013 I have criticized The View Restaurant for not allowing customers to use the tables on the large terrace outside. If you want... More

The view certainly delivers on its name. When we walked into our room on the middle floor of 3 and pulled back the curtains, we just could not believe the sight ! the valley is beautiful, the view from the rooms stunning. Our room was comfortable and clean. The air cond was a little noisy (take your plugs if a... More

Monument Valley is one of the great natural wonders and this hotel is the place to see it from. The rooms are adequately spacious to accommodate 4 people, in 2 queen beds (we had 2 adults and 2 teenage boys). The room had a small balcony looking out down the valley, minor issue is the aircon is noisy but needed.... More

When in Monument Valley this is the place to stay. The views (from all the rooms) are to die for and worth every penny. We had a family room with 2 queens which was big enough for us ( inc 15 and 18 y.o). The lobby is nicely done and wifi worked well there. The restaurant can be busy and... More

As a part of our honeymoon tour, we spent 1 night here at The View Hotel. Accomodation is pretty good considering the isolation in which the hotel resides. Rooms are big, comfortable and clean; restaurant is also gradeable with typical food from the Navajo tradition. The most important bit of the hotel, though, is the view: every room is faced... More

Check in is 4pm, and if you're arriving from Arizona that means 5pm in summertime. WiFi only in reception. Cost you minimum $20 in fee to get to the hotel. Breakfast not included. The 'fitness center' is a small room. 8-10 tables in restautants have view to the valley. Average food! They don't use $-sign on their menues to try... More

Make sure you bring some cash, when staying at the View Hotel. The entry fee for the Navajo Tribal Park currently is $ 20 for a vehicle and up to 4 persons and is not included in your hotel booking. Check-in in the lobby (the only part of the hotel with Wifi access) was quite friendly and quick. We stayed... More
