We stayed just one night the views are just amazing even from your window. The hotel is small and efficient the restaurant as there is the only one gets extremely busy specially at supper and although they have an hotel customers policy after 7pm it's still really busy however you can sit outside and admire the sunset that is worth... I doubt if any hotel in the world can give you a view from the balcony such as you get staying here. Just sitting watching the sun going down and rising is an experience out of this world. It is simply breath taking. The room itself is okay and provides a comfortable place to stay. The air conditioning was very... More

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The View. And the name says it all. It was relaxing and invigorating to have a personal vantage of the changing colors from sunrise to sunset. We tried local Navajo meals (stew and Indian Tacos) and at night they project a movie on the outside wall of one of the movies filmed on location. It... More

The view from you motel room is iconic and you get to enjoy it from a private balcony during both sunset and sunrise. Rooms were nice, clean, and smartly decorated. I found the gift shop to be expensive, but the restaurant was reasonable. Navajo taco $12 with salad bar. I and a friend had the $24 sampler platter with 4... More

The view from the hotel is incredible. We stayed in 301, a star room, which we paid a little extra for to get the most of the night sky; and this had a large balcony from which we could enjoy the evening film shows,in addition to taking in the amazing vista during the day. This was a great room with... More

Our stay at the View was, without doubt, the highlight of our trip to the US and perhaps the best overall hotel experience we've ever had. The only hotel in the park, our room had a view that can barely be described. Watching the valley change as the the sun set and then getting up in the middle of the... More

This hotel is the only one in Navajo Tribal Park, it has stunning views of Monument Valley, where "Mother Earth meets Father Sky". It is simply furnished in Navajo style, with genuine textiles, furniture and wall art and every room has balcony with a view to die for! The rooms do however, have all the benefits of the 21st century,... More

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night in July 2015 as part of our 25-night road trip through California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. We were in room 212. Having done our research on tripadvisor and elsewhere, we had booked ten months in advance and paid a rate per night of $236.17 including taxes. The name of this hotel... More

We were lucky enough to get reservations well in advance of our stay and had a great time. First of all there is a hotel and you will all have a great view, but we selected the cabins. They are fairly new and are the best cabins that we have stayed in. Modern amenities, including small fridge, microwave, bathroom with... More

THE VIEW at Monument Valley--Navajo Tribal Territory A decade ago we visited Monument Valley to photograph the high desert floor with its unusual buffs. We stayed at the 1950’s motel Goulding’s. Goulding’s was first a trading post (circa 1920’s), and then became a motel/lodge. It was the original and only lodge at Navajo Nation Tribal Park when western movies were... More
