There is a hotel right inside Monument Valley, but it is expensive. About 10 min. from the entrance of Monument Valley, you will find Gouldings Lodge & Campground. You have a good view over the valley from here. We stayed in a cabin at the Campground. Cheap and cosy. The kitchen has enough facilities to prepare yourself a good meal.... more

We arrived at Gouldings in the evening without reservation and they offered us the Hill House accommodation. This is a 3 bedrromed house perched on the edge of a small canyon overlooking MV. The location is secluded and has fantastic views. House was very clean with all you could need, although the kids found it spooky!! A short drive to... more

CAMPGROUND REVIEW - We pulled in with out motorhome to find the site almost empty and were given a great spot with the most fantastic views of Monument Valley. A most enjoyable evening around the provided firepit was followed by an unforgettable dawn with a pink sky caused by the reflections of the rich red rocks and the low autumn... more

My wife and I stayed for just one night here, but we liked it fine here. It might be a problem if this place pretends to be more than it is, but the views are fabulous and we found the place to be typically motel-cozy with friendly staff and a reasonably nice restaurant - obviously it is not fine french... more

The accommodation was fine really - although it seemed really cramped in our ground level room, especially after having stayed in a hot tub suite in Cortez the night before. However, we have no complaints about this place. The food in the restaurant was good, but not great, the staff were friendly enough without being over friendly. We also enjoyed... more

Wife and I were told ahead of time...it is older building, food so so, not a lively place in the evening... on and on. Well since we expected 'not a lot'...driving from Vegas we were OK with it. Just to let you know, the real reason to stay there is the 'location'. We spent a full day riding around in... more

We spent 9 days driving the whole state of AZ and our stop at Goulding's was one of the best memories. We arrived close to sundown, in time for a decent meal and to catch the John Wayne movie shown on site. At first, the kids (11, 13, 13, 15) were skeptical of the movie but soon enjoyed it as... more

Unfriendly staff, barely adequate rooms, dire restaurant, over priced, not even the solace of drink - what more do you want? One of the worst places that we've ever stayed!! more

My wife and I did a three week tour of the west and Gouldings Lodge was the only dissapointing part of the holiday. We were given a chalet but there was no veiws of the monuments as advertised. The noise coming from the chalet above was unbelievable, not that was the fault of the other occupants, the creaking of the... more

My brother and I stayed in a Cabin at Gouldings. It was a very nice cabin, with a portch and picinic table in front, and a small kitchen and four beds (2 double beds and bunk beds) with tv, washroom and air conditioning. However, when we got there the cabin had dozens of moths and whenever we tried to turn... more
