Gouldings Lodge holds a monopoly on lodging immediate to the entrance to Monument Valley Navaho Tribal Park. (the in-park hotel, the "View" is typically reserved months in advance). The location is great, the views from the patios are wonderful, the rooms are large and nicely furnished. There is an onsite restaurant that endeavors to provide a wide variety of breakfast,... More

We debated where to stay on our trip to Monument Valley. Research prior to the trip made it sound like there were several options relatively close, but that is not the case. Boy were we lucky. We opted for Gouldings Lodge. When we tried to book online, it appeared to be booked...but we called and found that they did have... More

When I walked into the room and out onto the balcony I couldn't believe the view looking out at Monument Valley and the landscape! It was breath taking! I would have been quite happy just to sit there and enjoy a glass of wine or two however we were booked on a Tour of Monument Valley and then a Navajo... More

We stayed for one night and had a huge apartment (342 I think). There were 3 large double rooms, a huge living area with kitchenette and bathroom. The bathroom could have done with some updating but otherwise it was great. There was a fridge, freezer, oven, microwave and hob in the kitchenette and a dining table and chairs in the... More

Short distance from the Visitors' Center @ M.V & the View Hotel but this is also very good hotel. They have other features like theatre that shows movies filmed in M.V. Old John Wayne's cabin. You are on the foothill of the Butte, so one does feel one with nature. I wouldn't stay anywhere but this or the View Hotel.

The lodge is expensive due to lack of choices in this remote area but facilities were good. The room was nice and roomy with a huge king size bed and fridge. We watched sunrise from the balcony with a great views of the monuments. We also took the deluxe tour to the monuments and saw lots of great scenery. Be... More

Nothing can beat this location, so you don't expect a great hotel or in this case a great lodge. But I guess we we're lucky, we got cabin 341 just behind the supermarket and it was great. We a family of four with two almost adult boys had a spacious cabin with two bathrooms, two bedrooms, a kitchen and a... More

We spent one night here in the Goulding's RV camp, which is just up the road from the Lodge. We really enjoyed this campground. The employees were friendly and helpful and the campground is extremely clean and well cared for. The laundry and bathroom/shower facilities are very nice and they have an indoor pool that the kids enjoyed. The surrounding... More

There are not many choices for RV parks if you want to stay in the Monument Valley area. We booked Goulding's Campground to park our RV for 2 nights and did not expect too much based on the reviews. As we started the climb from the main road past the Lodge, between the stunning red cliff faces I knew it... More

The lodge is only one of two places to stay in the area. Clean, basic and comfortable. The surrounding country is beautiful. Worth every effort to see. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Our multi-generational family had a great time.
