We stayed in the campground and had a vary nice night. Nice and quiet. Woke up to a gorgeous sunset and an amazing view of Monument Valley. No wildlife to speak but some stray cats. Nice gift shop/ convenient store on site.

Goulding's campground was easily the worst campground we stayed at on our 9,000 mile summer road trip. Arrived at 7:30 pm, only to hear that the "reservation," that we made weeks in advance was not valid (according to the representative, "reservations are first come first serve as well"). I'm not exactly sure what the purpose of reservations are, in that... More

We visited twice already and set up base camp here for discovering the area. The setting is excellent, with red cliffs surrounding the campground. WiFi is available and hot showers as well. Just a short drive from the Monument Valley Navajo tribe park. I can get booked in prime season, reserve online before arrival.

Stayed one night between national parks. While the sites are close together the park was surrounded by breathtaking walls of rock! Pool was indoor and nice. Had an attached patio that was shaded in the afternoon. Camp store was nice. Best part was the kindness of Navajo running the resort. Highly recommend taking the shuttle to the restaurant and gift... Golding´s Lodge is located just some miles away from the Monument Valley National Park. We visited the Lodge in January 2015. It is one of the few accommodations around the Monument Valley. The lodge has spacious rooms, big pool and even its own cinema, where every evening are shown old western movies, filmed in monument valley. Our room had an... More

Arrived in the evening to find the grounds literally packed with tourists (mostly seniors) from numerous tour busses. Was shocked and disappointed that they had given our room away when we had a CONFIRMED reservation for two queen beds to accommodate my elderly mother and I; they only thing left was a single with a dirty, lumpy, unsleepable pullout couch.... Located 23 miles (30 minutes) NE of Kayenta, Arizona on U.S. 163 just across the Utah border in Oljato (pronounced oihl-HAH-foe) Utah. The turn off 163 onto Monument Valley Road happens only a few yards north of the border, and is to the left to get to Goulding's (turn to the right and you will shortly be at the entrance... More

Very comfortable accommodation in a truly amazing part of the world. Add the very informative tour and Navajo cookout and our stay at Goulding's is one of the standouts of our trip. The geology is wondrous, and the hospitality of our hosts created a memorable experience.

Staying just one night, annoyed to find on arrival my booking had been changed and as the lodge was full we had no choice but to accept the room as it was. This spoilt what should have been a once in a lifetime trip, my son spending an uncomfortable night on a bed settee which I should think was designed... More

I liked this since we could book online. I think our passenger car could have handled the tourist roads, lots of cars were doing it. However those cars missed the back country where the best scenery is! And, best of all, having a Navajo guide fill us in on all the stories, etc. is priceless. She could answer any question... More
