Good second choice to "The View" for a hotel in the area. There are a lot of convenient stores and restaurants in the area. This seems to be a very popular stop for foreign travelers... and guide groups. The small single runway local airport is across the street (...if that of use for some travelers who fly into the area).

This was my first, of hopefully many, trip to Monument Valley to visit the "John Wayne country". Goulding's Inn was a great choice. Every room has a spectacular view of Monument Valley. The room was modern, clean and well appointed. The staff was attentive and very helpful. My grandson locked the keys in our Jeep. The front desk contacted the... More

We found this place on the Internet at the end of a very long driving day. We called the front office very late (way past midnight) and the attendant waited for us to arrive (around 1.10 am). He was very kind and checked us in quickly in our amazing two bedrooms apartment. This features a huge living room, an equipped... More

We camped in a tent here sat night, it's the most awesome place I've ever camped. You can see monument valley through the camps surrounding rocks. The surrounding rocks themselves are incredible! At night the stars are mind blowing. We (stupidly) assumed there would be beers in the site store. There's also a supermarket, and a restaurant non of which... More

This lodge is enyoing a fantastic unbeatable place. It is undernath one of the great monument.. You cannot expect to be in such a place. Great sunset view. You wish it never finishes. The same at sunrise so that you do not want to leave the place.

We stayed here only one night but I really wished we could have stayed more. We chose to stay in the Red Hill House, no.340. It was a half a mile drive away from the main complex, so I can't comment on what the hotel rooms were like, but this was fantastic. It was a three bedroom house with the... More

We should have a double queen room and the staff have been surly Will not recomend this place to any one they really need to get their act together. They are resting on the fact that their is very little other accommodation in the area.

The hotel at Gouldings is great. We had a room with a beautiful view and it was luxury to wake up, open the curtains and see the sun rise over Monument Valley. We found the rooms to be be very comfortable. We slept well. The toiletries in the bathroom are lovely and smell of honey. The hand soap came home... More

For half the price, it would have been a great stay, but the little things which don't matter much became a big deal when paying so much: restaurant not handicapped accessible, breakfast not included, non-functional ice maker, handicapped accessible room promised but not delivered. The restaurant was OK, but seemed to be angled toward maximizing revenue at the expense of... More

This is a beautiful, clean campground. The scenery just has to be seen; you could just sit and look at the changing view as clouds changed the lighting. You can either drive or take the shuttle to the main lodge and have a good dinner/lunch/breakfast. We had breakfast and it was delicious! The large gift shop is very nice as... More
