The San Juan Inn was the best in a very depressing setting. Mexican Hat is a depressed whistle stop on the edge of the Navajo Nation. What the motel lacks in accommodations is equaled by charm and the view. There's a great view of the river with lots of chairs set up to enjoy it. We had a 2 bedroom suite that stinked awefuly, the mattress had a strong, horrible smell of old sweat, we could not sleep because of that disgusting smell. Avoid this inn if you can ! It was the worse hotel in our 3-week trip. more

The motel was convenient to Monument Valley and my wife and I spent 2 nights here. The rooms were adequate and comfortable.
