Traveling round the south west USA as my husband and I have done many times, we stayed at Firetree and the experience surpassed all our plans and imagination. We wanted something that reflected the stories I have read about Monument Valley and something that was a little different, something real and down to earth, something that reflected the history and... So, The View has a fabulous view, but it is just another fancy hotel. Goulding's is fairly worn around the edges, and is a 40 year old property. The ONLY other place to stay is the FireTree Inn - a B&B 10 miles around the mesa, but still in Monument Valley. You have your choice of Hogan or TeePee. Both... More

We were worried as we drove past Gouldings Lodge in Monument Valley to get to our B&B Hogan...the 13 mile drive appeared to be a bit bleak, until we reached the Firetree B&B! The setting is beautiful with lots of plants, flowers and shade trees. We were greeted by a friendly cat, and even more friendly and generous host and... More

We stayed one night at the Fire Tree Inn in the hogan which was a great experience. It was very quite and we really liked the interior and the decorations of the hogan which features two queen-size beds. The bathroom is shared, however it was very clean and only a few footsteps from the hogan. During the night the sky... More

Spent two nights there, one in the Hogan and one in the Tipi. It was really a lot of fun. Very quiet at night. The Tipi is more rustic than the Hogan. Breakfast was nice and the hosts were friendly and great. Very close to Monument Valley.

The hogan was very comfortable to stay. We were amazed by the structure and the cute the look is. The owners decorate this place w/heart, made it really unique and pleasant. We wish we could come earlier or stay longer to enjoy this place more. It was very quiet at night and the yard is very beautiful with mountain view... More

Absolutely brilliant. The stay was exactly as described on the website, earth floor and wooden domed room made of timber. We had 5 double beds so plenty to chose from for the 3 of us. The Hogan was equipped with a fridge, air conditioning, lighting, settee etc there was nothing more we needed. The bathroom was about 30metres away. It... More

The experience is everything they said it would be. The emails are explicit as to what to expect... A shared bathroom, animals, a dwelling made of dirt & log. However, the shared bathroom is only a shared space, each hogan has a designated shower and toilet... So essentially you have you're own facilities which is very different than if you're... More

I should apologise to the owners as I am writing this review some years after I stayed at their place (summer 2011). When I travel, I look to stay somewhere that allows me to avoid chain/mass hotels, tourist buses and gives me a feeling of the real life in the location I am. I looked at the description on the...
