We stayed in the larger hogan for one night on a busy road trip around Utah, Colorado and Arizona. We were very excited to stay in such an unusual place and none of us (mum, dad and two boys) were disappointed. Upon arrival, the boys disappeared to explore the hills behind whilst we sat in one of the little 'nooks'... More

We chose to sleep at the Fire Tree to have an unique experience. And it sure was something out of the ordinary. Instead of a room you get a Hogan (traditional Navajo housing, made out of wood and mud). Only this is a luxury version of a Hogan, with gorgeous wood details and beautiful comfortable beds. The bathrooms are in... More

We loved our stay at the FireTree in! The owners were unbelievably nice, and the hogan was certainly unique. We were a little worried about the dirt road on the way in, but somehow made it in a tiny rental car. Staying that far off the beaten path isn't something we get to do often - for us, it was... My wife and I took our first trip out west (we are from the NC Beaches). Our experiences to date have been tremendous, lots of fun and informative. However I must say the highlight of our trip was staying at the Firetree Bed & Breakfast on July 19th. We stayed in one of their HOGANS; dirt floor, logs covered with... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night, having made the choice to stay here based upon the many great reviews on Trip Advisor. We, however, did not find Firetree to be that memorable, and certainly don't feel that the high price is justified. Upon arrival we entered the "reception" area, which is essentially the owner's private residential space.... More

I am doing a two week tour of the southwest with the grandkids aged 10,8,4. I wanted to give them an authentic experience in monument valley and this place was perfect. They loved it so much they asked to go back the next day! They are used to camping out however. Things you should realize before you book are 1.... More

The Hogan was great & I found it comfy & clean. Bathroom is only a very short distance away (torch provided) and also clean. I had a small hire car and the road was fine, even after some rain overnight. You can't get lost if you follow the directions provided. I arrived a little early which wasn't a problem. I... More

Our family of five stayed in Firetree's first teepee last August. I've kept meaning to write a review, but just haven't got around to it, but I just have to add my praise because this absolutely made our stay in Monument Valley. It is remote - you have to drive around the back of the mesa some 13 miles, but... More

Trip Advisor fails us for the first time. We have been faithful Trip Advisor users for years and have been looking forward to our stay at the Fire Tree Bed & Breakfast for months. Our stay started with being greeted poorly by Martin, we all left our short tour feeling like we were a bother. The landscaping and the outside... More

Raquel greeted us and took us for a quick tour of the grounds, including the star-gazing courtyard and the breakfast area. We ended with our spacious and beautiful hogan where the four of us looked at each other in wonder. The stars were out that night and we could clearly see the Milky Way. Sleeping in a traditional Navajo hogan... More
