Great mom and pop place at a reasonable price. The hotel is a bit older but has been well loved and taken care of. The room we were in had a new king bed, microwave, mini fridge, flat screen tv, but the best thing was the shower had been preserved from the hotels glory days with it's 40's style tiles... More

Clean and comfortable room. Helpful management! We did not miss any sights due to management advice. This motel is a great place to set up a home base to visit Moab, Mesa Verde near Cortez, Colorado, and Bridges national park. I wish we could have stayed longer than 5 days.

I read negative reviews here and ask myself if these folks just aren't prepared for a strip mall-style motel. Obviously, a $250 a night resort in Vegas will be superior to an $80 room in Monticello. However, both can be a 4 star in my book if they meet expectation. Met at 12:15 at night by I believe "Nancy," the... More

The rooms were very clean and a fair size for such a low price. The staff were also very friendly and it was over all a very lovely place to stay between driving on our road trip. We also learned a lot, as the staff knew lots about the area and sight seeing. ~ The Canadian girls

Monticello is a convenient location for sight seeing .Motel has refurbished rooms with new carpet, new drapes, new beds, flat screen TV. Appreciated the coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator. Rooms were spacious. The owner was on sight & was very friendly & helpful with tips about what to see & do in the area. Nice golf course nearby. Would stay again!

I have probably stayed more than 100 nights over a twenty five year period, often alone and sometimes with family. Cool at over 7000 ft., lots of parking. Clean and very friendly, centrally located, close to gas, food, forest service, BLM, etc. I particularly like the quiet that comes with no swimming pool (municipal pool available in summer time, of... This is a very old Motel. Exterior corridor, no lobby, outdated furniture and no amenities at all, pool, breakfast ect.. We stayed here after leaving canyonlands lodge to be closer to town and stayed because of the great reviews on trip advisor. I think most people left good reviews because the customer service was fantastic, so I fell bad writing... More

Chose Monticello due to location, as we were coming from Monument Valley and were due to explore southern Canyonlands NP. Very glad we did, as prices were very reasonable and the temperatures cooler than Moab in the summer. Actually extended our stay here because of this. I'm becoming biased toward small, independent motels because of places like this. The owner... More

We arrived a bit late, but room was fine for one night stay. There were people sat outside our room talking, but didn't cause any disturbance for us. Staff were helpful and friendly. As others have said, the walls were a bit thin, so we could here the TV in the room next door. No net curtains. TV, fridge and... More

Found this reasonably priced. They were friendly and helpful. The room was large, the bathroom, small. The lady thought the bathroom was handicap accessible but not really. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would be glad to stay there again! Cost about $56 total.
