I have probably stayed more than 100 nights over a twenty five year period, often alone and sometimes with family. Cool at over 7000 ft., lots of parking. Clean and very friendly, centrally located, close to gas, food, forest service, BLM, etc. I particularly like the quiet that comes with no swimming pool (municipal pool available in summer time, of... This is a very old Motel. Exterior corridor, no lobby, outdated furniture and no amenities at all, pool, breakfast ect.. We stayed here after leaving canyonlands lodge to be closer to town and stayed because of the great reviews on trip advisor. I think most people left good reviews because the customer service was fantastic, so I fell bad writing... More

Chose Monticello due to location, as we were coming from Monument Valley and were due to explore southern Canyonlands NP. Very glad we did, as prices were very reasonable and the temperatures cooler than Moab in the summer. Actually extended our stay here because of this. I'm becoming biased toward small, independent motels because of places like this. The owner... More

We arrived a bit late, but room was fine for one night stay. There were people sat outside our room talking, but didn't cause any disturbance for us. Staff were helpful and friendly. As others have said, the walls were a bit thin, so we could here the TV in the room next door. No net curtains. TV, fridge and... More

Found this reasonably priced. They were friendly and helpful. The room was large, the bathroom, small. The lady thought the bathroom was handicap accessible but not really. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would be glad to stay there again! Cost about $56 total.

This is a good clean family owned and operated motel. It is a one hour scenic drive from the expensive motels in Moab. Although not new this motel is well maintained. there is a super market and restaurants near by. t

A bit pricey for the area and with inadequate sound construction. Otherwise, friendly, clean, comfortable. We chose this motel because it was rated highly and most of the others had warnings about thin walls. Unfortunately, this motel had, I assume, equally thin walls as other, lower ranked motels in the town.

This is fine for an overnight stop. Really friendly welcome from a lovely staff member and an upgrade to a king room at the back was lovely but the road/truck nice still easily penetrated the single glazed windows and the walls are thin so it's not a peaceful or quiet place to stay. The beds were nice and the heater... More

The staff was very helpful and our room was clean and reasonably priced. We stayed two nights and the room was a little small and breakfast was not included. The next time in Monticello, I will try the No. 1 choice.

The Monticello Inn was a stopover for us in between Monument Valley and Moab. It is an old-fashioned motor inn, although the room was very clean and the bed was adequate. The prices are very low, especially compared to Moab (about 1 hour north). Warning about Monticello: everything, and I mean everything closes on Sundays, so get your food and... More
