The rooms were large, clean and well kept. The beds were adequate and the room had a refrigerator and microwave. As others have mentioned, the breakfast was minimal, but the price of the room was also low compared to the hotels in Moab. I would recommend this motel to those visiting the Needles area of Canyonlands. Also, we had a... more

I agree with other reviewers, this is just another average motel, but it was clean, quiet, roomy and comfortable. I did have a few problems though, the microwave didn't work. The faucet in the bathroom was very hard to turn on and off and the shower valve was installed backwards, so that hot was cold and cold was hot. It... more

First off, the main picture shown above on Tripadvisor.com is incorrect. Go to Bestwestern.com for correct pictures. Stayed here for closest access to Needles district of Canyonlands (about an hour away). Nice & clean room, good size, plenty of hot water. Breakfast was standard fare--toast,englishmuffins, pre-made waffles, cereal, oatmeal, donuts, juice, coffee, tea, bananas but they also had hard boiled eggs which was definite plus! The only... more

We stayed at the Wayside Inn in April and was expecting a ho-hum hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The room had microwave, fridge and was larger than most. The staff was very friendly. Would recommend a stay more

Nice, spacious room and a lovely place at the pool ...BUT this pool was not heated...cold water...that can be aproved ! breakfast was the minimum but enough to hold on... The rececption was good and friendly people; they gave us a... more

The best thing about this older Best Western is that it's one story and you can park in front of your door. The motel appears to be understaffed. We had two of the four bulbs over the bathroom sink not working and the girl at the desk had to close up the office to search for bulbs. She found only... more

We did a road trip from Denver and although weren't expecting much highlights in Monticello were still disappointed staying here. We only saw one member of staff who did the check-in and breakfast room, no doubt she works hard but seemed as cold as the blizzard raging outside when we were there. It seems about the only eatery in town... more

I spent 2 weeks staying in hotels/camping on a roadtrip and I feel this place was overpriced. They lost our reservation but put us in the last available room they had. It was fairly clean. It is owned by one of the previous town Mayors who seemed pretty nice. They have a computer in the lobby w/ internet which was... more

This is what you would expect of a standard motel in a very small city. It is a drive to your door type motel. Standard small town place. Old carpet and look but seemed to be well maintained. Friendly front desk. No complaints but nothing exceptional either. Our room did not have a fridge so you may wish to ask... more
