My wife and I were given room 10, which is in a small house across the parking lot from the main inn. The side house doesn't have wifi and is generally gross. The porch is covered in cobwebs and a few decades of grime. The lawn consists of mounds of dirt interspersed with weeds and piles of dead branches. There... More

More than two weeks after receiving a confirmed booking on booking.com, the Grist Mill Inn contacted us to say that there was a mistake and they could not honor the booking for our full stay. There is now very limited availability for our dates and we are stuck. Do NOT book this property through booking.com.

We stayed a night here, Monticello is a good place for a stop between Monument Valley and Canyonlands National Park. The B&B is in an old mill, nicely decorated inside, maybe a bit old fashioned, but we liked it. When we arrived, our hosts had gone out, our room keys were waiting at the reception, together with a list of... More

We came to Monticello to golf and found this B&B on Tripadvisor. It is a gem. Large comfortable rooms that are beautifully decorated. (The rooms are much nicer than the pictures on the website show.). Great beds and a nice breakfast in the morning. The owner Heather is very friendly and helpful. The outside needs a little work but the... More

About 2 1/2 hours from Monument Valley and 1 hour south of Moab, Monticello is the perfect place to break up a trip. This quaint B&B is superbly decorated, the rooms are very nice, clean and well cared for. The owner is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. When we arrived she had gone out for a brief period so she had... More

The Grist Mill Inn B&B was the last stop on a 4300 mile loop from Arizona to Ohio and back. We tried to find interesting B&Bs near the end of day along our driving route. This day found us in the vicinity of Monticello, UT in the late afternoon; hence we selected the Grist Mill Inn. It is a very... More

My wife and I were driving from the Grand Canyon to Moab (5/24/2014) and found Monticello a good place to stop for a night before the congestion of Moab . . .As it turned out, the Grist Mill (and Heather) was so special we decided to stay an extra night! This former Grist Mill has character with several original milling... More

This was our first time staying at a B&B. The Inn is historic which was pretty cool but it does need some updating. A young couple bought the inn a while back and they are very nice. I am sure as they can afford to they will work on the restoring the inn back to its former beauty. The breakfast... More

Stopped here for one night and I wish I could've stayed longer! Nice room and very comfortable bed. I definitely had a great nights sleep. The owner and hostess of the inn is so incredibly nice and friendly...makes you feel at home! AMAZING breakfast! She cooks it her self at the moment.

And there we were ... my wife and I were trying to get to Moab after visiting Monument Valley (yeah I know - long drive LOL) and found ourselves in Monticello around 7pm. It was already dark when we decided to stay and looked for a recommended hotel. Outr of the corner of my eye I saw a sign and... More
