I loved this quaint little place. Gorgeous if somewhat over the top Bavarian decor, but it fits with the local style so it somehow works. Staff was friendly, helpful, and not intrusive during the meal. I had the lobster bisque which was excellent, and then for the main course I had scallops in a pureed cauliflower sauce, and THAT was... more

My husband and I love bed and breakfasts. This one is quite nice. We especially enjoyed the restaurant and the proximity of the inn to the Wasatch Golf Course - so pretty in September for the fall colors. We shared a bottle of wine under the stars on the restaurant's patio which was so romantic. The Sunday brunch, included with... more

Everything was wonderful--service, cleanliness, quietness, etc.! We had complications with our reservations at another B&B in Midway, so we called the Blue Boar to see if they had any rooms available. Luckily they did! The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and explained what they had to offer. Once we arrived she showed us the rooms that were... more

We recently stayed in Midway and wanted to splurge on dinner at the Blue Boar. Splurge is not the word! This is a very expensive experience, and probably not one I would do again. To experience the restaurant, I would suggest maybe lunch, or in the evening, try the small bar in the back of the facility (or outside courtyard).... more

We just got back from a Father's Day stay at the Blue Boar Inn, we have stayed there before and have eaten there a number of times. it really is a beautiful place. our first stay was in the William Shakespear room, a balcony and sitting area, we read Romeo and Julliet in the sitting area. This visit we stayed... more

Without exception, my luncheon dining experience was terrible. Food was low quality and expensive. The menu did not adequately explain the items to make a good decision. The waitress did not offer any suggestions when food was ordered. Way overrated! more

There are no words to describe how the Blue Boar exceeded our expectations! I owned a very successful catering business for 20 years, so we always evaluate our dining experiences in detail. The food was superb, some of the best I have ever eaten, the service was impeccable, the facility beautiful, and the hospitality warm and inviting. We will definitely... more

The quality of the inn was exceptional and the rooms are very romantic. There was a lot of outdoor activities to do around the area. The one major problem we had was they were giving a tour of the rooms and "mistakenly" opened up our room without knocking to see if there was anyone in the room when my wife... more

My husband and I celebrated our twentieth anniversary in May 2003. We decided to have dinner at the Blue Boar on a whim, and we are so glad that we did. The restaurant staff were very attentive, the table was decorated for our personal occasion, and the cuisine was fabulous. We had the lamb chops. So delicious and they melt... more

My fiance and I enjoyed an exquisite dinner and night's stay for my birthday recently. The evening started with superior service in the Blue Boar's full restaurant where we enjoyed a glass of wine, spinach fuji apple salad and beef tenderloin that melted in my mouth. Homemade apple struedel was for dessert, but the best part of our stay was... more
