We stayed in the summer house. The 1st room we went to was nice, but noticed a attic door was missing, could see the roof, did not feel comfortable and was cold. Took picture went to the front desk, they said they will have maintenance come check it. She gave us a different room, which when I booked room it... More

There is NO kitchen, fireplace or sitting area. When we showed them this description the just said. Oh, that's not correct. That is the suite. No discount or any accommodation. (and according to them the resort wasnot even a quarter full). Not ever again. (the desk people were very polite, just did nothing)

The room was nice, however the walkway was not shoveled, so we had to walk in the snow to get to the front door. It was nice and slipper as we walked to the room. The shower curtain had black mold residue on it. Would assume they would look for this when they cleaned the room. The next morning the... More

We appreciate your feedback polomarko, and are sorry for your experiences during your visit. Cleanliness is of extreme importance to us, and we will be certain to take care of the shower curtain in your room immediately. While the Crater soak is managed by an outside company, we most certainly empathize with how disappointing it must have been to have... More

Place was nice and big. Many smaller buildings that has rooms and loved the crater also. Must swim in the Crater there. Food was good and small bar to sit and enjoy a few drinks at night. Rooms was good and comfortable.

This is not a standard hotel or motel. The rooms are clustered in cottages of sorts, with about 6 rooms each. Our cottage was completely on the other side of the resort from the Homestead Crater. Much too far to walk in the snow. The room was average nothing particularly special about it, except for the millions of ants that... More

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay at the Homestead. We are a mountain resort nestled in the mountains of a small town in Utah, we are also set up in a unique way we aren't a standard hotel by any means. We are set up campus style with small cottages thru out the property. We do... More

Is it possible to get a one-star review before your customer has even entered the room? Yes, if you are the Homestead Resort! Waited almost an hour to get into my room because the lock to my door was “frozen.” After 30 minutes of waiting for it to be fixed, when I asked if I could check into a different... More

Place was nice, simple, and fun for family. We really enjoyed the hotsprings dip. Changing area was kinda cramped and a pain but the novelty totally made up for it. The rooms were of good size and appointments nothing to crazy but fine for family getaway. Our diner was very good and did have a couple ooohs and ahhhs. We... More

My Girlfriend and I booked a one night stay at this resort with a one hour swim in the Homestead crater as a package deal. It was no deal. The crater swim was wonderful. We will be going back to the crater to enjoy the warm mineral water and interesting geothermal natural wonder again, and honestly the only reason I... More

I am sorry that we weren't able to meet your expectations, it's very important to the Homestead staff that each guest have a great stay. We are a mountain resort and sometimes when it snows television service does go out and it's unfortunate that it happened during your stay. I'm glad you enjoyed the food at Simons, but sorry to... Quaintly situated in a beautiful country setting. It's beautiful in the winter. Loads of potential.. But!Pool, hot tubs, and sauna are run down chlorine baths. Checkin was a disaster. Stood in line and sat in the lobby for 1.5 hours til 5:30 pm while rooms were being cleaned, no dinner comps or apologies. The restaurant is just meat and potatoes,... More

Roomed smelled really odd, room was set to 40 degrees, very drafty. Pleased that they offered a room with two Queens and a bunk bed, but I don't think we would stay again. Restaurants were pricey for a family with younger kids.

I wanted to apologize that you arrived to a cold room, I'm sure that wasn't very welcoming. I'm happy to hear that we had a room size that was able to accommodate your family. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be staying again, we are a very family friendly resort with kids menus for both restaurants. I hope that... More
