We stayed at the Hat Rock Inn for one night at the beginning of October. The room was clean, comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. The setting is a bit bleak and wind-swept, but the pool was very pleasant even on a chilly evening. Breakfast was not included, and we did not try the adjoining Hat Rock Cafe.

My wife and I are always a little wary of independent motels, especially in remote places. However, we had no need to worry over Hat Rock Inn. Our room was very clean with modern fixtures and fittings, excellent flat screen tv with good reception and comfortable bed. There was a separate lounge adjoining the reception and a heated outdoor pool... More

When traveling in the west, you have to be aware that if you are on or near a reservation, you can expect the prices to be higher....and this was the most expensive place we stayed at on our trip west and we stay in Hilton properties. That being said, this is a very nice place to stay and the room... More

Nice large room, comfortable bed and nice views. The highlight for us was the pool and jacuzzi which we thoroughly enjoyed, most of the other hotels we have stayed at had shut their pools because it was out of season despite the weather being very warm still. A convenient stop off when visiting Goosenecks and Monument Valley.

Nicely redone motel type lodging. VERY clean and quiet. Will stay there again when we go back to Mexican Hat. WIFI worked great. Very nice pool area--brand new. View of the San Juan River. Very good breakfast at the attached restaurant

Our group of 3 senior couples were very please with the price of staying at the Hat Rock Inn versus staying at Monument Valley. This inn is family owned and it is evident they take pride in their business and continue to add improvements. We stayed in rooms on the second floor, facing the road. The rooms appeared to be... There isn't much to choose from in Mexican Hat, but this place was great. Very clean and comfortable. We got an upstairs room overlooking the river. Friendly front desk, and best of all was the shower! The water pressure was great, I loved the shower here! The motel has a beautiful little pool area, which we didn't get to use,... More

Checked out of here this morning after a 3 night stay. The room itself was very nice. It could maybe do with a high chair for the table though, especially if wanting to use a laptop etc. The supplied chairs were too low, so it meant either kneeling on the floor or sitting on the edge of the bed to... When you have a great facility in the middle of nowhere, and this is a great facility in an area best known for shacks, you must organise something to send the guest off with a warm feeling. The owners deserve every praise for developing the rooms and external areas but breakfast involved going to the unattractive cafe next door and... More

We stayed at the Hat Rock Inn due its location close to Monument Valley. There is not much to choose from, but this facility got good reviews, so we picked it. Very clean; comfy bed; the latest amenities. Keurig coffee in room. Swingin' Steaks restaurant delicious! Café for breakfast just okay. Get a room in the back...beautiful views. We'd stay... More
