There are not many options to stay overnight in the area, so of course the room rates are very high. But 159.- for this 2-3 star motel is way too high, also considering that breakfast is not included. Rooms were clean, nice location, nice pool! You can choose a specific room when making the reservation, which is quite cool. Staff... More

Rooms were a little dated, but they were clean, tidy and have everything that you need for an overnight stay. Got a room on the second floor facing the river and the views were fantastic. Had a couple of beers on the upper deck at sunset, perfect!

The sandstorm is bad, really bad. We've been driving for hours through the deserts between Moab and Monument Valley. The stop-in-the-road town of Mexican Hat comes into view as clouds of sand sweep across the car's hood. Off to the left is a what appears to be a motel that we'd never notice if the day were clear and bright,... More

We enjoyed our July stay at the Red Rock Inn - the room was spacious and clean. Based on other reviews, we asked for an upstairs room facing the river - it was quiet and we enjoyed the outlook. We found the wifi just fine for our purposes (browsing and email). The pool was very welcome at the end of... More

Stopped for one night at Mexican Hat after a ride through Monument Valley and it's the perfect little hideaway. What you see is what you get - a typical road-side motel in the middle of nowhere, but it's clean and tidy and has everything you need. The most notable part is the pool and hot tub - with it's white... More

We stayed at Hat Rock Inn while touring Monument Valley and Mystery Valley, about 20 miles away. The Inn was nice, the employees friendly. We chose a room on the back side of the Inn which faces the river. It is an older building that seemed to be well kept up. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the cafe, and... More

We stayed for 2 nights here as we had booked in to take a Navajo tour in Monument Valley and wanted to be fairly close to the area. The rooms are beautifully simple and rustically decorated but with great amenities such as a huge bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, large TV and a nice size bath with over shower. Seeing... More

Rooms are large and comfortable. Bathroom all new and lots of hot water, beds very comfortable, enough light. Out room had both coffee maker and microwave - BUT no hair dryer and no telephone. ALso, if you like bar soap please bring your own. It;s a shame they haven't done these little things when they got the big things right.... More

To be honest we wanted to stay at the View Hotel in Monument Valley but it was booked out weeks or months in advance. After reading all the reviews we decided it was worth the trip north to stay at this motel. All motels in this area are expensive due to their remoteness but I absolutely recommend a visit to... After researching many choices for overnight lodging for Monument Valley, including Kayenta, I chose the Hat Rock Inn. I was very happy with my choice. The price is a bit high ($153), but compared to prices at The View or even for a not so great property in Kayenta, I felt that the Hat Rock Inn was the best choice.... More
