Singing Steak is really great, one of the best steak I ever tested, nice and cosy authentic restaurant with open fire grill. Great small town, perfect location and good hotel with very friendly staff.

There is not a whole lot to choose from. The motel is small and old. I did like the grounds and the outside seating. Lots of shade. The room was small but it was clean. I would stay again for sure. The restaurant is very good. We had two of the cheapest steaks on the menu, two soft drinks and... More

This was a complete accidental find that turned out perfect for me -- a single guy. It is out in the middle of the desert not far from Monument Valley and the room turned out to be the smallest I have ever stayed in. But it was just perfect for me (there are different sized rooms and there were plenty... More

If you are here for a stop during your trip, this is a good stay for a night. It is clean and the price is ok. Small pool but a pool at least ;). The restaurant is not so good. Ok for the swinging steack, it is a curius way to cook and the meal is good. But 40$ for... More

Poor noise insulation. We could hear other walking along the veranda as they passed our rooms. Restaurant (BBQ) is ok, but VERY limited choice of food or drink. There was a very limited choice in the area, I would serious consider the few extra miles and perhaps choosing something more midmarket in Kayenta for probably similar money.

This was one of the most affordable places we found find while traveling to Monument Valley. It was still overpriced for what it was, but the room was clean and nicer than I expected. The room had a nice flat screen TV and basic cable, as well as a microwave, fridge, and free wi-fi, which was also surprising. My husband... More

We ate at the Swingin Steak when we stayed in Mexican Hat and it was easily one of the best meals of our 2 week holiday. If you don't eat meat or more specifically don't like steak then this certainly isn't the place for you. The menu essentially consists of different sizes of steak served with the same side dishes.... This was the only place open when we came through one march evening. Seating is only outside, so I was a little reluctant, but it was totally worth it, and was kind of nice being outside at night in the late winter. We split three plates among four people and we were all full. I think the only thing on... More

I am not into the rustic lifestyle but it was not as bad as I thought. My wife and I stayed in a trailer because of the bed size. It was actually comfortable and I had a good night sleep. My son was in the motel part and had a good stay. The room was clean and we were on... More

We are a couple with baby, had room #10 and full access to the swimming pool just for ourselves. We loved the setting of the swimming pool area. We really like the John Ford atmosphere too. The room was clean and had a nice guest house deco which made a nice change from all the chain hotel places we stayed... More
