A small basic motel on the bend of the road. Came across it by chance and thought we would stay for one night. Ended up staying 3 because of the stunning surroundings all within an easy drive. The motel is nothing to write home about but was clean and comfortable with a decent licenced restaurant. Humming birds joined us for... More

This River Front, Cliff side gem is the right place to rest your weary hiking, traveling, exploring butts. I have stayed at the San Juan Inn 5 times in the last 7 years. Car camping across Utah or Motorcycling South Western Colorado, the San Juan Inn is the perfect 1st stop or last stop distance from Phoenix, AZ. 330 miles.... More

This motel is ideal for so many interesting things in the area, Monument Valley, The Goosenecks State Park, Valley of the Gods and it has a licensed restaurant attached, which is rare in this area. The rooms are fine, clean and big enough for two. Nice to sit on the balcony of the upper rooms at night and watch cars... More

We stayed here in July 2013, in the large yurt. We would have loved it, but the AC unit was way too small for the large yurt. The temp inside remained just as hot as outside (high 90's in July). We were here for 2 nights and it never got better. Also, the sun beats down in the large clear... More

We stayed for two nights. Easy to find and plenty of parking. We requested a 1st floor room which we got that had a nice view of the river. Room was reasonably well equipped though could have done with a fridge. Bedroom and bathroom were very clean. There was a diner at the front of the hotel, nothing fancy but... More

Where to start... We should have cancelled upon arrival. We had made reservations for two nights but were charged at registration for three. They charge your card upon arrival. However, we did get this refunded. We asked about internet and were told we could use only one device at a time. We depend on the internet a great deal and... More

We spent the afternoon at Monument Valley and overnighted at the San Juan Inn. Were driving to National Bridges National Park the next morning. Folks were very friendly and there was a great restaurant on site with some Navajo dishes. The room was spacy and adequate. An older facility with a great view on the river. Not many options in... Velma, who made our reservation, and Cathy, whom greeted us at the reception desk, were both very nice, as were the other staff we encountered. The hotel is old but clean. Our large room with 2 queen beds was $125/night which would be pricey except for the fact that the hotel is on the river and adjacent to Monument Valley.... More

The San Juan Inn is a quaint hotel located in remote Mexican Hat, UT. I say "Remote" because there is only a few buildings in Mexican Hat. One gas station, a couple motels, a few cafes, and 1 Shell station. The San Juan is on the banks of the San Juan river and is located on a red rock ledge... More

Mexican Hat is a 30 minute drive from Monument Valley and offers cheaper accommodation than what you would find in close proximity of the Tribal Park. We stayed at the San Juan Inn for a night as a turn-around point on our 4-day road trip from Las Vegas. The accommodation is basic, but clean. The huge plus was the self... More
