Great place to stay when visiting Monument Valley. Very clean and convenient to Monument Valley, Valley of Gods and Gooseneck State Park. Rooms are comfortable and hotel sits on scenic San Juan River. The price is so much more reasonable than those at Monument Valley that it is not even a question as to where to stay, I think.

Finding affordable hotels near Monument Valley is challenge. I settled on the San Juan Inn. I love the location, suspended below the bluffs and just over the San Juan river, and the old west ambiance. The location is also superb if you're taking in the magnificent sights of the southwest. The Bridge restaurant offers adequate dining and it very convenient... More

My husband and I spent one night at San Juan Inn and really enjoyed the experience. It lays on a Canyon right above the Colorado river and it's surrounded by a remote, quiet atmoshere...The room was big and had a beautiful view. We spent the night sitting at a table right above the river and were amazed by the full-moon... More

I was looking for a getaway with some great scenery. Believe me when I say what a beautiful place. The Inn was right there near everything, or should say centrally located. I was close to Monument valley and real close to Cedar mesa. This is the true definition of desert. The Inn is located right above the San Juan river... More

Do not waste your money. Room smelled very musty, couldn't sleep because of loud air conditioner, bathroom window would not close. It may be in the middle of the desert but there was no excuse for this place! We forfeited what we paid for the room and moved to the Desert Rose Inn in Bluff.

I'm well traveled and I sure enjoy the posh stays. Read a few negative reviews here. Guess those who wrote them don't have a clue... You in the middle of a desert here. What more can one expect. Duhhh! This place was a life saver for my 4 year old and wife. We arrived at 1 am with no reservations.... More

This is an older, classic motel. It is right on the San Juan River, south of Mexican Hat, AZ. The view from the second story rooms is beautiful. Rooms are comfortable and clean. TV and wifi. No hair dryer. Good bed! I would bring soap and shampoo too ( they provide the small size). Has a gift shop, food store... More

Living in Arizona, many people never experience the beauty of their own home state and surrounding areas.we decided to take a week and explore the north east corner of our state and the surrounding areas. After spending two days in Page Arizona, we travelled to Mexican Hat Utah, where we explored the surrounding area. The owner and her son at... More

Our room was very basic, old motel style and upon entering it had a very unpleasant smell that permeated everything. The room was not very clean, the bathroom extremely tiny. The walls were paper thin, with noise from adjacent rooms. Truck noises from outside entered the room as well, and not just in the morning. We even heard noise from... More

Stayed at this basic motel on a Harley Davidson tour with the Great Western Chapter, UK in September 2014. Basic motel with no fridge or coffee making facilities. Room was clean and quite spacious. The location is what sells it right by the river and 15 mins from Monument Valley, this is the reason why it was the dearest of... More
