We’ve wanted to stay at the San Juan Inn in Mexican Hat for years and finally did it. The $100 a night rate was a little bit of a splurge for us on an otherwise low-budget trip, but it did not disappoint! It was excellent! Plus the motel is pet-friendly, for additional fees: $20 for first pet and +$5 for... More

The hotel is in a good location by the river, the rooms are clean and nothing fancy but good. The reason for my input is that we left behind a small computer in the room, and I phoned the hotel and talked to Rose, and she said I will post the computer to your last hotel on your said trip.... More

We ended up here because everything in Kayenta seemed to be fully booked. In fact, we're glad we stayed here, because it was very nice. A quirky sort of place, with a good diner, and in a good setting beside the river. Only about 25-30 minutes drive from Monument Valley and it's just outside the Navajo Reservation. This means that... Arrived at the Inn and the fellow behind the counter seemed rather put out that he had to deal with a customer. We paid for the room and asked for the wifi code. We were given it on a piece of paper and dismissed. After getting into the room and getting settled we went to log on and one device... More

San Juan Inn- situated on a cliff along the San Juan River in Mexican Hat, UT. The town is located @ 25 miles N. of Monument Valley. It’s a small town with a handful of motels and a couple of places to eat but the location along the river is pleasant break from the dry dessert environment. The motel is... More

We chose Mexican Hat over Kayenta as the place closest to Monument Valley (other than Goulding's which was both too expensive and fully booked). For what we paid, just under US$100 per night (before tax), we felt that the room did not really give value for money - it was small, lacking in basic facilities (no fridge, for example, which... Great location at about a 30 minute drive to monument valley. I was with a small group and some of the rooms had been updated but mine was not. Grout missing in bath and mold in shower. Large room but no desk. Restaurant on site is OK and cheap. As others have mentioned you get one wifi device and it... More

Spent one night at this Inn. The room was nice, very clean with a nice view and access to the San Juan River. I was pleased with the staff; friendly and knowledgable about the area. We ate two meals at the on site restaurant, food was good and decently priced. The service was also good. Not a fancy place but perfect... More

Ask for the second floor for the view. The Inn is located just prior to going over the bride to Monument Valley. Room was large and clean, seemed to be maintained with pride. There is a place to eat within the area that also has a view of the River. Yes the WIFI is restricted, at least it works and... More
