This hotel is nice and convenient as you would expect from the Marriott brand. Has a nice indoor pool and hot tub. Also has a decent free breakfast. All of the rooms are going through a complete renovation now. We stayed in a newly renovated room and it was very nice.

Stayed the on two occasions First was Feb 2014 and second was March 2014. Booked hotel through Delta vacations as both trips were family emergency with little notice and was less expensive to go that way. Going through Delta Vacations all rooms fees were paid for so rooms were pre-paid. On both occasions when checked in mentioned the trips were... More

This is a good hotel, just getting a little tired. They need a reno soon, but it is OK for the time being. What was good were the price ($76 + taxes) and the front desk staff. They gave us a recommendation for a great restaurant (Corbin's), and we got a free appetizer there.

Dear valued guest, Thank you for your comments regarding our Layton Fairfield Inn. You are absolutely correcct that this property is somewhat dated. However with that being said, we are currently undergoing a full hotel renovation. Currently we have just finished our new amazing and stylish lobby, front desk, oversized breakfast area and remodeled pool and spa. Currently our third... More

We arrived about 10:30 p.m. after a long day of driving and with me coming down with a cold. Looked forward to falling into bed. Have stayed in Fairfields before (not fancy, but clean and adequate for road trips), but have decided not to do so again after this experience. We didn't discover until we were in bed that our... While I liked the hotel enough (beds were great), a good staff is what makes me want to come back. You won't find that here. The night person at the desk hurried us through check in, acting like he'd rather be back in his little room watching TV, than actually helping a paying customer. Morning clerk, unfortunately, was just as... More

Stayed here one night. Convenient to lots of eating places. Cracker Barrel is next door. Situated along the interstate so easy on/off access. Some road noise but it was muted by the fan in the room. The thermostat in the room wasn't working very well -- we had to crank it up to 76 just to maintain a 70 degree... More

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn at the beginning of our Yellowstone vacation when we arrived in Salt Lake and at the end of our vacation as we were leaving . After a horrible experience with our delayed light into Salt Lake that caused us to arrive in the early morning hours after our car rental agency had closed, the... More

I've never been disappointed in a Marriott before so this was a first. If someone told me they were paying for this room for me I'd stay there but I would probably try a different hotel if I was making the reservation. Dealt with 4 staff members: 2 were indifferent, warm bodies doing their jobs - 1 was too busy... More

This Fairfield is fine. It's nothing fancy - fairly close to the highway so if freeway noise bothers you, ask for a room on the quiet side. We do work at Hill AFB, and the location cannot be beat. The breakfast is nice, wifi reliable and I will say the beds seemed awesome - maybe newer mattresses? However, in the... More

We stayed at this hotel while on business at the Hill AFB. We were offered the military discount due to working at the base. The room quality was great, pillows were soft, and room was super quiet. The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast was laid out very nicely. We would stay again at this hotel when on business... More
