We stayed here to ski the local resorts (Alta, Snowbird, and Solitude). Usually we rent a condo but they were hard to come by so we reserved two interconnecting rooms for our family of four. It worked out great - from the proximity to the resorts, to the quality of the rooms, to the amenities of the lobby (nice fireplace... More

For a chain hotel this place is great. It's certainly not a resort, but rather a means to ski with convenience. If you are in SLC for the main reason of skiing rather than partying or having a slopeside experience, the location is great. If on the other hand you are looking for that ski-town feel this will not do... More

This is a new hotel, and it's location is wonderful if you're a skier and want to enjoy the thrills of Little Cottonwood Canyon (Alta & Snowbird) or Big Cottonwood Canyon (Brighton & Solitude). The rooms are easily the best designed ones I've stayed in - among the various mid-priced chain hotels. There is a big comfortable 'sectional couch', nicely... More

Good location for skiing either big or little cottonwood canyons. Be sure to book a room on the parking lot side as the other rooms are very noisy from the street traffic. large rooms in new hotel but no in room safes

Consistently traveled to this area of SLC for a dozen years, I was thrilled when HP opened its doors. It is a great location and convenient to the offices nearby, downtown (20 mins), and the slopes (25 mins). The area has grown nicely and there are plenty of food places ranging from fast food to gourmet (Francs is great along... More

The room I'd stayed in was so noisy that it kept me up for most of the night. The AC/heater unit was very loud. Also I could hear the freeway traffic from the room. Overall it was a very unpleasant stay. The staff was not the friendliest. The front desk reception was kind do annoyed when I brought up the... More

My best friend was staying at another hotel in Sandy and it was dark and dingy--sadly, she was there because her mother was in the ICU at the hospital. My friend needed a better place to stay while dealing with this, so my partner and I jumped on TripAdvisor and found this place. We recommended she check it out. She... More

Came with the family for three nights. Normally, we would stay downtown or in Park City when visiting SLC. However, Sundance and the Outdoor Retailer Conference ruled that out. We found the Hyatt Place in Cottonwood as a really nice alternative. It is new.....let me repeat that.....new as in "I still smell the new construction" new. All surfaces are unmarred,... More

This hotel is in a PERFECT location close to restaurants, movie theaters, ski resorts, golf, and the freeway. It's nestled up in the mountainside and is the perfect place for a romantic get away. The service and hospitality was top notch. We would stay there again without even thinking twice about it. The cost was definitely worth every penny. The... More
